An increase in supply is required to drive pricing down to normal levels.

the reason this happened is because of DRAM demand in the server market
GDDR makers shifted fabs to dram to increase dram supply because of demand in the server market and AI market
    all those big thinking machines

don't expect thing to change for awhile - they need to bring more fabs online

Graphics cards can cost $1,000 or more these days. Prices definitely need to come down.
