Hi. So i just installed a hybrid kit (400-HY-5598-B1) on my gtx1080ti. But i am unable to control the fan speed and it is very loud (not the one on the radiator, but on the gpu itself).
Edit: Ok so i looked around and noticed that the fan is not actually spinning at all. But something on the gpu is clearly making a pretty loud buzzing sound.

I also noticed that i dont have rgb lighting controls at all. I'm pretty sure the hybrid kit has rgb and i did plug in the 6 pin led cable and not the 2 pin one, just like it said in the instalation guide.

The buzzing sound could be the pump noise or coil whine. Did you hear that sound with the stock cooler?

Done the kit also and used the 6 pin led plug and have no control over it, and has yet to even light up. The noise is possibly the pump, or coil whine due to high frame rates. I also do not have the extra sensors since putting the hybrid kit on.

I have an SCII hybrid (not a kit) and there's no control over the LED (it's not RGB). As for the sound, do you have your case open or can you hear it closed and what are your temps like? I think EVGA does RMA for coil whine, you might contact them.

    System specs:
    Corsair 460X RGB
    Intel Core i7-6700k 4.4Ghz OC
    Gigabyte Z170 G5 max (MB)
    32GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR4 3200
    Corssair H100i V2
    EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2
Evga GeForce 1080 TI SC2 Hybrid
    2x 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO SSHD (raid 0)

It's not coil whine, i do have some coil whine, but it's clearly different and barely audible while wearing headphones. The buzzing was constant and clearly audible even with my headphones on and it would start the moment i power on my pc. I think it might be the pump. I looked on google and it's apparently quite common for pumps to make buzzing noise. Although i did have a very similar hybrid kit for my old gtx1080 and it did not have any buzzing and was pretty much perfect, except for the fact that it died after 2 months... I guess i just got lucky before not to get a buzzing cooler, but at the same time unlucky to have it die so fast...

I got so annoyed by the buzzing that i took it off a few hours later. I might try to RMA it if possible.

    It's the pump :(
Is there a way to reduce the pump speed? all of 5 AIOs I tested have this buzzing pump noise when the pump is at full speed.

    No.
EVGA Pumps from Hybrid kits can't have the speed controlled.
    It's always at full power.

    Hey Andrius227,
Just a tip, you may have air stuck in the pump which is causing noise. A good habit to get into with AIO liquid coolers is to hold the radiator high in the air and the pump directly below it and move the pump around in all directions possible to force any air in the pump up into the hoses and into the radiator where it won't cause any issues. I would recommend trying it since you can do this without disassembling the card (just be careful moving the card around) and see if it gets rid of the noise.
