1000w GQ model

I can not get my pc to turn on with more than one molex 6 pin cable plugged into the psu. I can have 3 things plugged into the single molex strand but if I plug a second molex strand into the psu and molex to anything it won't start.

Same thing happens with sata strands. I have 3 hooked up but if I plug a 4th into the psu it won't post.

Thoughts???

It works fine else wise.

I have 3 sata strands from my original box and a 4th from my 650 g1. It doesn't matter what cables are used for sata or molex.
I have one molex from my 1000 and one from my 650.

Evga doesn't sell (from my findings) individual strands, only $90 cable kits.

Also I have tried this with two different brand motherboards and it's the same thing.

G2/G3/P2/T2 PSU Cables and Cable Sets or the G1/GS Cable Sets are not compatible with the GQ (Semi Modular) Model PSU
You can only use GQ Cables with GQ Power Supplies and no other EVGA Power Supply Cables can be used with the GQ PSU.

So where can I obtain these GQ specific cables without buying a $100 new cable set?

How are the GQ cables different?

Wow! The cable kits are that much? Yikes!

They don't even list GQ kits so I might be screwed.

You can Contact EVGA about getting individual cables, they have.

You can also order individual cables from CableMod for an EVGA 1000W GQ (use the CableMod Configurator and choose the nylon sleeve PSU cables)..Triple Molex cables cost $11.90 + shipping..Maybe some other places have them too if you search around.

So you're saying the 650 G1 sata/molex cables work fine with your 1000w GQ?

I don't know if the cable is thenissue because I don't have a 4th GQ cable to see if it's a cable issue for the sata, but neither g1 cables work with the GQ psu. I used my sata cable from my 650 and it did not work so I would assume the cables won't work (going with what evga says). I am trying to source a 4th GQ sata or molex cables. If not I'll just buy a g1 psu because I have more than enough cables for them now.
