Honestly this case looks fantastic, though I would prefer a mini-itx case. If the size was smaller and could still fit a hybrid card, I'm sold

Let's just hope in a near future they release a updated version of the Hadron Series.

That would be awesome. Might be willing to let go of my Inwin 901 if they do

Yup
I don't want to use my HAF X anymore if I need to go for a Lan Party.
But the Hadron Series, they are just almost perfect (they were awesome by the time it was launched, but as new technology appears, updates must be made)
IMO, I would make a few changes on a new version:

- 280mm TOP and FRONT (for CLC 280 support and others radiators);
- 140mm/120mm back fan (for exhaust hot air and add the possibility to fit the radiator from a Hybrid Card);
- Front I/O with USB 3.0 / Power / Reset only (maybe a SD/MicroSD reader just for suggestion). No need for the audio/mic entrance in the front (most people will use the one in the MOBO, since it's usually better);
- Allow storage for 2 SSD + 1 HDD (would be enought for a mITX Build, not to say the M.2 support from the board itself);
- Removable SSD/HDD bracketsm for those that would like to not use it, and have more room on the chassis;
- Make enought room to fit the FTW3 (lenght and width);
- If it comes with a PSU on it, as before, make it a 700w PSU, so we wouldn't have any problem running newest hardware;
- (This one I can only dream) Modular PSU. This would make cable manage SO MUCH EASY in a mITX case like the Hadron;

Well. I think, from my part, that's it. That was all I would make for update a new Hadron Series.

Case: Asus Z370-G Box / MB: Asus Z370-G / CPU: Intel I7 8700K / Mem.: 16GB (2x8) 3000Mhz Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 / GPU: GTX 1080TI FTW3 / A.I.O. W.C: EVGA CLC280 / PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750W

Who knows. I think somewhere by next month or even september we might have some news.

Quarter 3 would be July 1 to September 30.

I hope we get more news about this case soon I really like sleek looks, and if I like the features this has a good chance of being my next case.

When I called them around Computex time they said the DG-7 would be out by July.
Then on a livestream at the end of June when I asked on Twitch they said mid July possibly August.
Someone else asked on the livestream a few weeks ago and Jacob had no update.
Total bummer, I have a stack badass of components sitting, waiting to live in this case.
Might just wind up having to build in a p400s... or if EVGA takes too long then one of the new CoolerMaster cases dropping in Sept.

I really like the design. Only things that would be nice is a vertical GPU attachment option and good airflow.

Update:

Looks like we will be able to mount the card vertically via riser cables (nice move EVGA, very nice move indeed)

unfornutally, I think there was never a confirmation, only expectation.
If I were to say, this are going to show up by the end of August all the way along September.

will be a pretty long time before I will buy any case that doesn't support dvd

when i made my recent full tower purchase i cm to the conclusion, didn't mater MUCH which I bought, i was going to end up rebuilding it
so i went  with the cheapest that supported all the various mounting types.

and that left out this evga model

They said in the live stream that a few tweaks were made.
Who knows if they didn't allowed a removable 5.25" bay.
Will need to wait until September to have some concrete news.

I only mentioned that in the hopes evga would come to understand,
ppl still have cd & dvd's, and will have for several yrs to come.

People aren't throwing them away over pc case choice.

and there are still other bay mount perif to be considered

Sure people still use them (rarely) however it completely ruins the aesthetics of the front + limits the airflow. So why should that be implemented into the case when you can just have a external optical drive and plug it in whenever u rarely need it. That seems so much more better since optical drives more or less ARE dead.

5.25" drive is not necessary.
All motherboards arrive with tones of USB 3.0 connectors and they should be used.
I keep everything on mobo, charger for cell phone, charge electronic cigarrete, DVD-RW, external HDD,...
Anyway now is attractive Ultra HD Blue ray 4K with USB 3.0 connector,

I have DVD-RW bay 4 devices, I would rather cut him completely with dreamel and left space for radiator.
Look so bad and old fashioned compare to new cases.
Now is chance for everyone to throw away their optical drive.
It's weird that Panasonic still make optical drive UHD Blue Ray

2x 420 radiator support
Rand pump mount options
Graphic card sagging bracket
USB 3.1(or 3.0) with 1 USB Type C and 1 or 2 Type A on the front panel
Cut out on the bottom of the motherboard for those headers(DG-87 didn't have this and I had to rout the cables all the way from the bottom of the case)
Full EATX support

seriously still no release date? Computex was 2 months ago.

Is there a way to turn off the EVGA logos lighting on the 76 and 77?
I'm most interested in the DG-75..does it support vertical GPU mount too?

I'm most interested to learn about the dimensions...

EVGA Logo lighting can be turned off. The entire DG7 line will support vertical GPU mount.

- At this point they most probably are not going to make big changes to the case (unless they delay it).
- Radiator support will be 1 360mm + 1 280mm (1 120mm can be mounted on the back of the case, for exiting the hot air).
- I'm not sure, but I think the DG7 series will be Custom Watercooling friendly. So most probably it will be possible to fit reservoir/pumps on the side of the motherboard.
- Graphic card sagging bracket would be cool (doubt this will come with the board, but they might just sell it later).
- Don't know abou the features on the front of the case, but by the pictures, if it follows what was posted in their article page, we will have 2 USB 3.0, Audio and Mic Jack (unnecessary IMO), K-Boost (don't even know if someone use this feature).
- Looks like there will be a cut out on the PSU cover for easy cable management at the botton of the motherboard (Look at the quote down here).
- EATX will not be possible because of the PSU cover.

I am pretty sure it will support eatx. Evga Jacob stated so during one of his interviews regarding the case. I wouldn't thing they would put out a case that doesn't support one of their best motherboards, the z270 classified k. It's an eatx board.

Either way, I just saw the Thermaltake View 71. This thing has all the features I am looking for minus USB 3.1c on the front IO.

The Thermaltake View 71 looks way to 15-year-old-gamer ish + no psu shroud + drive bays in 2017? O.o
I wouldn't say that's a competitor to the DG-7 as it's for a different audience however there is a NZXT S340 upgrade in the works (According to tweets from NZXT's twitter a month or so ago) which might be a big competitor to the DG-7.. lets see :)

Re: EVGA wants feedback on DG-7 Case 2017/08/20 05:14:15 (permalink)
Please explain how it looks 15-year old gamerish when the dg-7 will feature similar aesthetics? They both have tempered glass on multiple sides. Dg-7 will have drive bays as well. No PSU shroud means you need impeccable cable management, but serves no actual function. If I spend $300 plus on a PS I would rather it be showing than covering it up and sporting an EVGA sticker as on the DG-7. They both have a vertical rider. The fact there is a drain opening on the bottom of the front radiator on the View adds more features than most cases out there. Sounds like you are just bashing the brand due to bias.
I went back to Frys and they let me take apart most of the View 71. It's sturdy as hell. The glass panels open and shut better than anything I've seen so far and the studs on the hinge are two different lengths making for super easy removal and install of glass. If you choose 140s on the front only two will be visible whereas if you choose 120s all three will be visible through front dust shroud. Front will fully support 60mm push pull with both 360 and 420 rads. It has support for a full size EATX (Maximus 9 Extreme). Plenty of clearance for giant ass GPUs (1080ti FTW3), and I can easily mod the front I/O to include a USB 3.1 Type-C Port as well. Out of every case they had for sell in there (there is a ****load of them in there lol) the View was actually the best one for water cooling support, imo.

I haven't said anything bad about its features and I'm definitely not biased towards EVGA either. I actually have the Thermaltake Core P3 in mind for my next build if the DG-7 won't ship this year.

However my reasoning for saying it looks gamerish is because the View 71 pretty much looks like a battle tank with its many edges and huge feets (and color scheme although there might be more to choose from), meanwhile the DG-7 is clean and minimalistic.

Re: EVGA wants feedback on DG-7 Case 2017/08/21 04:20:39 (permalink)
There is one thing that might help differ the View 71 from the DG-7.
View 71 is a Full Tower chassis, meanwhile the DG-7 will be Mid Tower.
Of course, Mid Tower can have a hell out of more specs as well, but a Full Tower will always have more space and more possibilities for Features, Water Cooling, Radiator Size Fitment, drive bays (removable for what I saw at the View 71), and so on.
Also, EVGA didn't officialy released the DG-7, so who know which new features it will come. In early september I think we will have some concrete news about it's features.
