I wanted to see if I could get some input from people that currently own Oculus Rift and have decent experience with it. What is your opinion and how has it affected your outlook on PC gaming? Do you solely focus on VR games now or do you still play non VR games. I might make a purchase soon since the Oculus Rift bundle is at a great price. For $400 you get the headset, touch controllers, and two sensors. You also get Eve Valkyrie, Lucky's Tale, Medium, Toybox, Quill, Dead and Buried, Dragon Front, and Robo Recall available for free once you set up the touch controls. To me it sounds like a good deal with that price drop, and I have the necessary PC power to run it.

About 10% of the time I play VR. I game where most gamers interests are, and that's not VR yet. Is it worth $400? IMHO, yes. Will I spend most of my time gaming in VR? No.

Just by yesterday's experience for about two hours of messing around with just 3 of the programs I got for it. It is definitely worth $400, Currently have a 360 degree setup with just the two sensors, and have the sound mirroring out to my home theatre setup. I can't wait to try some of the other games and free stuff. Had issues with two of the programs, some type of error. Already got a response from the support team and will work on that when I get home. I also figured out how to use the super sampling option to take advantage of the power from the video card.

For flight and racing sims, there is is no other way as far as I'm concerned now. I have a racing rig, so that alone makes it a must have. Other then that, I think there needs to be more AAA games.I am waiting for Fallout 4 VR to come out, but personally and sadly I prefer mouse and KB for FPS games.

I think maybe a lot of the problem with VR game development and making that game a cross platform with non vr game play is the consensuses that touch control is a must have for VR. The sad part is perhaps there would be more AAA games being developed if the general consensuses wasn't bent on the use of Touch Control. For instance, Project Cars 1 and 2 have been developed with VR support. Not that big of a deal, but then again Touch Control isn't having to be implemented, so I wounder if Touch Controllers are actually holding VR implementation back in new game development sense it requires that much more work making it cost prohibitive.
