I turn on folding and go to sleep like I typically do but this time I do my big boys. I have 1050 to running all time doing fine. I"m not sure my drivers are bad on my 1070 or not on the correct one. but every time turn on the computer shows nothing no progress and don't see anything in the logs.

Not seeing any Errors in the Log File I would remove the GPU in the Client Software and add it back.
Is the Client set to Full?
Did you install the NVIDIA Drivers are did Windows, if Windows you will need to install them from NVIDIA's Website.

it may be drivers or you simply haven't slotted in the new GPU into the client.

I typical down the drivers through the Nvidia app experience never through windows.

how would i go about slotting the gpu into the client?
It seems when I start the program it does it for awhile but looks like either it crashes b/c I come to a computer that turns off asking for windows login.

looks like Slot 0 has an OCed GPU or a bad GPU.

Seem that when I left my computer on it restarted I'll have to check the logs when I get home. What are the current drivers that are known to work on 1070?

373.02 I think are still the "recommended" best performance drivers for the 1070.
I've got a couple machines on 372.90 or some such, seem to work about as well.

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

373.06 is still the Best Driver for any Non 1080 Ti Card and for the 1080 Ti Card 378.92 run best ATM.

    What OS ?

Did you use DDU to change driver ?  (default settings - safe mode - reboot)

Are you using the custom Nvidia install and Only installing GPU driver & PhysX ---> then select "Clean Install"

Nvidia Control panel set to performance ?

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/107566/en-us

I went to above website to download the drivers.
    I didn't use ddu.
I just download the above link and run no custom settings did standard download.

What is shown now in your Folding Client Log file?
Are you using? client-type = advanced
Unless you block Windows 10 it will force a new NVIDIA driver update on your computer.
This will for the most part just give you the OpenGL Error in the Client Software and will not run.

I'll check my folding client log when I get home.
I'll double check make sure windows 10 is blocked. My antivirus turns it off by default but I'll double check that. I'll give you a update when i have more information

What sucks about that one is the F@H client will not resume the crashed slot until you click that close program button.

Check if any of your security software auto scanned before / during that crash

Another issue could be some program or Windows automatically updating

Check PC's CPU setup - Folding does not benefit from OC the CPU - I'm guessing you know CPU Folding is not efficient Watt/PPD

If none of the above --> dial back OC / settings on your GPU(s)

Yeah, I closed it just wanted to show the error. I ran it again last night didn't have any problems. I'll check settings on my Kaspersky. I'm pretty sure have windows up date turn off

So I did close it just wanted to show the error. after closing it and so on I let it run for about 24HRs + and haven't had any issues. wonder if it was just something random.

I get a warning/error in my Folding client log saying "The client has stopped responding and has recovered" using Windows 7. I normally have to close and then restart MSI Afterburner to get my clock rates back. I occasionally get TDR warnings in my Event Viewer when this happens but not always. I have never had to restart my Folding client as it has resumed operation after having stopped responding as stated in the client log. Nothing really useful but I thought I would let you know you are not alone in this. I just finally got some decent WU for my 980 ti Classified PC. For the last few days my twin 980 boards were kicking my 980 ti Classified boards in the teeth and walking away with more PPD.
