I got an Email asking me to Join them today?
Shout out to our fantastic folders on team Curecoin!
Curecoin folders are putting out some major computational power with 799,401,646 PPD in the last 24hrs.
Special thank you to our top 3 contributors at the moment.

Curecoin breaks new heights

Holding his spot at #1 is PS3EdOlkkola with a hefty 41,003,222 average in 24 hours.  Following close behind is CUREfor clocking in with 38,126,699 and Youngblood zipping along with 33,014,992 PPD.  Keep in mind these aren’t just random meaningless numbers where the points don’t matter.  These numbers translate to computational research being done to help scientists find cures for diseases that touch every one of us in one way or another.  While I love seeing these mega folders make the numbers skyrocket, keep in mind every PPD helps.
Keep fighting the fight by folding team Curecoin!
-Team Curecoin folder "Valreyrey"

Curecoin network balance allows for infinite possibilities

Rank #1 Worldwide

Team Curecoin is less than 30 days away from rank #1 on Folding@home, the largest research DCN on Earth! Join us for the celebration.

The IRS doesn't collect property tax. The state collects that separately. Federal taxes are different and self-employed taxes are a pita.

Re: Curecoin Wants You. 2017/08/09 07:17:41 (permalink)
There was a LOT more in the post I referenced above ... so only a few excerpts -- (there are 16 FAQ see original post)

Q–8: Does a taxpayer who “mines” virtual currency (for example, uses computer resources to validate Bitcoin transactions and maintain the public Bitcoin transaction ledger) realize gross income upon receipt of the virtual currency resulting from those activities?
A–8: Yes, when a taxpayer successfully “mines” virtual currency, the fair market value of the virtual currency as of the date of receipt is includible in gross income. See Publication 525, Taxable and Nontaxable Income, for more information on taxable income.

Q–3: Must a taxpayer who receives virtual currency as payment for goods or services include in computing gross income the fair market value of the virtual currency?
A–3: Yes. A taxpayer who receives virtual currency as payment for goods or services must, in computing gross income, include the fair market value of the virtual currency, measured in U.S. dollars, as of the date that the virtual currency was received. See Publication 525, Taxable and Nontaxable Income, for more information on miscellaneous income from exchanges involving property or services.

Q–4: What is the basis of virtual currency received as payment for goods or services in Q&A–3?
A–4: The basis of virtual currency that a taxpayer receives as payment for goods or services in Q&A–3 is the fair market value of the virtual currency in U.S. dollars as of the date of receipt. See Publication 551, Basis of Assets, for more information on the computation of basis when property is received for goods or services.

Q–5: How is the fair market value of virtual currency determined?
A–5: For U.S. tax purposes, transactions using virtual currency must be reported in U.S. dollars. Therefore, taxpayers will be required to determine the fair market value of virtual currency in U.S. dollars as of the date of payment or receipt. If a virtual currency is listed on an exchange and the exchange rate is established by market supply and demand, the fair market value of the virtual currency is determined by converting the virtual currency into U.S. dollars (or into another real currency which in turn can be converted into U.S. dollars) at the exchange rate, in a reasonable manner that is consistently applied.

Q–7: What type of gain or loss does a taxpayer realize on the sale or exchange of virtual currency?
A–7: The character of the gain or loss generally depends on whether the virtual currency is a capital asset in the hands of the taxpayer. A taxpayer generally realizes capital gain or loss on the sale or exchange of virtual currency that is a capital asset in the hands of the taxpayer. For example, stocks, bonds, and other investment property are generally capital assets. A taxpayer generally realizes ordinary gain or loss on the sale or exchange of virtual currency that is not a capital asset in the hands of the taxpayer. Inventory and other property held mainly for sale to customers in a trade or business are examples of property that is not a capital asset. See Publication 544 for more information about capital assets and the character of gain or loss.

I agree, and I'm ON Team Curecoin.

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

Well They Should Not Have Emailed an Inactive and even a Disabled Account.
Yes it is nice that they Fold BUT take the top 10 Team Members Away and this so called team is not really a Team worth bothering about.
Really you only need to take the Top 5 Team Members away.
Team Wise I think it would make more since to take any user who Pulls over 20,000,000 in a 24 hour period should be counted under Default mostly because with Hitters with $100,000 Worth of Computer Hardware and or Corporation Supported make Folding Teams meaningless anymore.

    Hello,
I talked to the founders - this newsletter was sent out automatically to anyone who was registered on cryptobullionpools - even if just to briefly try folding for Curecoin in the past. It's meant to be an internal invitation for team members past and present to join the team on social media for contests and giveaways (not at all intended to poach other team's folders).
There should be an unsubscribe option at the bottom of the email.

It doesn't take $100,000 worth of hardware to hit 20 million PPD
Even without the top 10 folders on Team Curecoin, we'd still be the #1 production team by quite a bit.

As far as "corporate supported" - I can make a GOOD case that ALL OF TEAM EVGA is "corporate supported" - and has been for a lot longer than Curecoin has existed.
Very few IF ANY Team Curecoin members get ANY sort of company support - specifically including Ed, who DONATES all of the Curecoin he earns.
I certainly don't get any "corporate support", and I'm getting vaguely close to that 20M PPD figure you are complaining about.

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

you indirectly speculate the 20 M PPD -> $100K as you say "because" (for the reason that), not to mention you edited your original post 1 hour after QuintLeo posted his comments about it so re-quoting your edited post is a meaningless endeavor. also where do you get the 1.2 BILLION PPD number from?!

When you spout nonsense and falsehoods, you should EXPECT to get called on it - especially when you are pretty much ALWAYS negative towards Team Curecoin and it's members in so many of your posts.
