GTX 970 issues. Trying to see if it's fixable or if it's trash

For a long time I had no issue with my 970.  Never even really ran and GPU-intensive programs or games.  Then suddenly whenever I boot the computer the fans spin up full power and there's no output.  Nothing I've tried has worked.  Swapped out with a different PC and same thing.  So I'm trying to figure out if anyone knows something with which I might be able to salvage it or if it's just destined for the trash bin.

    EVGA has a 3 year warranty on their GPUs (at least for the US), and the 970 was launched on September 18, 2014 - or just under 3 years ago.
     
    Register the card if you haven't already here: https://www.evga.com/support/register.asp
     
    Then call or email EVGA to start an RMA: https://www.evga.com/about/contactus/ 
     
     
    Also, even if you aren't the first owner of the card, you can RMA under the Guest RMA program, which starts when EVGA shipped the card to the retailer - https://www.evga.com/howtorma/
