I'm trouble shooting a rig that is giving me problems and my next step is to cpu fold. My last configuration was gpu only and when I start the client now without GPU installed I get the error message and no way to edit my prefs over to cpu. Do I actually have to install a gpu, change prefs to cpu fold and shut down, remove gpu and hope prefs let me cpu fold on restart? I'm thinking there must be an easier edit to prefs.

go to your "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient" and delete everything there. this will force the client to think its being installed for the first time allowing you to set it up properly.

I have found it best to install the Client Software for All Users and not have it tied to a User Profile.
