After watching videos and reading some articles about liquid metal on a CPU die and on a GPU i decided to give it a try my self on my GTX 970 SSC, i have to say i was quite happy with the results. i was using MX-4 and switched to Geild GC extreme with no real difference to be seen, so after taking some base line tests with the geild TIM (1467 GPU, 3580 memory ) i got 66c with the fan at 69% (3170 RPM) with a 29c min temp ( room temp is 26.5c ), temps are decent but the fan noise was quite loud. then i switched to the CL ultra liquid metal TIM, same clocks, same room and case temps but my max gpu temp was 61c with a 56% fan ( 2580 RPM ), noise was much lower which was what i was really after, I know its not a pure scientific test but little lower temp with much lower noise output is a win in my book. Thoughts?
all test were done using Unigine heaven 4 for 30 minutes.
