I'm have a bit of a problem.
I have been using RAID as my SATA mode because I thought it gave me AHCI for the SSD's that aren't in a RAID. However, just yesterday I notice that Samsung Magician has my SSD listed as having AHCI mode deactivated. Does the X79 board includes AHCI if you select RAID? Or is it one or the other?
 
This is how I have it setup.
 
sata 0: SSD
sata 1: SSD
sata 2: HDD Raid 1
sata 3: HDD Raid 1
sata 4: HDD
sata 5: HDD
