I remember the last time I folded, you would add switches to the folding application.
For example, it was like -big /v or something like that. And it would allow the application to only tackle large units. This would also help with your PPD. Any suggestions for folding now ?
Currently I am using [link=mailto:folding@home]folding@home[/link] control latest version. Getting about 603,000 PPD using my i7 7700K & GTX 1070.

nowadays the things you can do flags is very limited, to the point that no one really uses them much anymore. if you are folding you are basically good to go.

Driver 372.90 seem to be better for folding than the newest drivers.

yea, drivers nowadays are more important than one would think. but if you are running a 1070 then 372.90 is one of the best drivers you can run if you are not required to have a newer version for newer title games.

Also drop the CPU folding- not worth the power or stress on it for the "payout"

Thanks for all the responses guys. And yea, I noticed the 7700K gets really weak PPD lol
Currently at 20,492 PPD, definitely not worth folding on.
Is it safe to say folding is more beneficial on more cores ? Like 6 or more

folding has really just stepped away from CPU work loads all together. ya, the more cores the better but they stopped supporting BigAdv, which at that point was really the final nail in the coffin.

Many of us fold with GPU and run BOINC on the CPU with the crunching @ EVGA team
There is WCG that is easy to set up.
They are looking for cures for AIDS, Zeka, childhood cancer, TB, EBOLA, and so on.
Other projects look for large prime numbers, there are projects like what folding does, others map the stars and heavens.....

We are very active in challenges, so if you like team work and competition/challenges, come join in the fun.
We can always use the help. In fact we are in a short 3 day sprint CPU challenge right now!

    Another shameless crunching plug:
Focus on GPUs for Folding.  World Community Grid using BOINC manager is a good way to put the CPU to work on research for cancer and a variety of other things.

Yep sometimes I miss the Good Ole BigAdv Days but then I remembered that they did take 1 sometimes 2 days to complete one Task.
GPU on the Fold and WCG on the CPU cover it all now.
