Installed 384.94 on win10 pro 64x creators update,.
GA-990fxa-ud5 bios fc, gtx 960 ssc 4gig.
32 gig ddr3 ram.
Amd 9370  stock, liquid cooled.
After this new driver update the onboard dolby digital live settings 
keep reverting back to analog format every time the device used.
This was not the case in the previous driver package.
I have reinstalled the realtek driver from the OEM and no change.
The only way to get the ALC889 working fully is to totally disable 
the nvidia driver from windows sound or device manager.
Any feedback on this ? 
 

First time trying DDU from not in safe mode and did not work so
did from control panel.
Win10 just installs what it wants on reboot. 
I get so sick of microsoft and this garbage os.
I have 3 other computers so this one is not priority.
Of the 3 two have evga cards also.
On 1 with realtek hd audio (not DDlive) I had
to turn off the chip in the bios as it was causing issues
with the creative card that does have dts connect.
I can switch from hdmi audio to the creative card without
much issue.
A combination of hdmi, analog on chip, analog on physical card or DD-DTS
causes issues as win10 likes to use the lowest on the chain so it can grab the
rest of the cycles for its updates.
This is also MS trying to push the life of a device to death status to retire hardware
so it does not have to honor its support for the life of the device.
