In short, I'm building a PC for a friend. I don't need my Titan X anymore as I've gone to a different card. I'm building a system for him and he doesn't want to deal with the water cooling (I don't blame him). So far, I've seen the Arctic Accerlero Xtreme IV and the possibility of buying the shroud pulled off another Titan X and installing that.

I'm not experienced in installing coolers in this way, so I'm a bit hesitant to take this task on. Are there any better options/coolers out there?

From the reviews I've read on Newegg, the instructions for the Arctic fans are not the greatest. Also the Cooler is reviewed to be large - I'm not sure if that will be a problem or not with this build.

Thanks in advance,
-Tom

The card I will be using is a Titan X Hydro Copper P/N: 12G-P4-2999-KR

Hopefully that is what you're looking for.

Maybe kraken g12 bracket or corsair HG10 N980 bracket with aio? If it were me I would just put the stock blower on it if you can find it. Make sure you give the original water block to your friend as he will need to reattach the water block to the card if he ever needs to rma it.

Oh that's neat! I didn't even think of going water cooling, but a closed loop (no maintenance) route. Didn't know that existed. The Corsair product you mentioned seems like it would be a good fit. Just have to see if it will work with the Fractal Design Define C case will house it. I wouldn't see why not, but I'll take on this research.

Plus both products looks better refined than the Arctic product. IMO the Arctic Accellero looks janky as all hell.

Thank you very much for your input I am very much looking more toward the options you suggested! And you may have saved me $700 haha because I am/was afraid of bricking the card while installing the Arctic (I understand it's still a chance installing any 3rd party device, but I feel more confident with the options you provided!)

Ok I see that now. What would be the difference though? Component placement?

EDit: When I say component placement, I mean the placing of components on the PCB of the Titan X.

There is no difference between 12G-P4-2999-KR & 12G-P4-2990-KR. Both use the same PCB.
