Hi everyone, I am upgrading my pc and have sold many of the old parts. The only parts that will remain from my previous build are the CPU (7700k), ssd, and powersupply.   I forgot to uninstall drivers and the OS or link my windows key to my account before I sold my motherboard on Ebay. Does anyone know what will happen if I try and boot it up when my new parts arrive? Thanks in advance.

Wish me luck, anything you suggest doing? Will the problems be with the Drivers or Windows? because I have a spare windows key lying around.

Yes Make Sure When You Creates A Thread With Any Kind Of Issue Make Sure You State That Your OS Was From An OLD Computer Build And Not A Fresh OS Install On Your New Hardware.
You WILL HAVE Issues with the OS With Drivers And Any Hardware You Add.

its always best to do a fresh install on new MB, while it may work you are going to have problems.

    idea
throw in any other drive and do a clean install
after all it's drives are in
    switch it to "d" drive
and put the original back in as c

should be able to point the driver updates to the other drive... for most of them.

My suggestion to you would be to purchase a valid Microsoft Windows 10 key code. They do not cost that much compared to a retail version.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

    How does that work?

Where do I purchase a valid Key, and how do I then download 10 pro.

Update: Never mind... Found my answer.

Windows 10 is amazing when it comes to booting up with dissimilar hardware. It's smart enough to add the new devices on the first startup while using the new hardware. I had to do it just the other day and it worked like a charm. Gone are the days of the BSOD while doing this. Reactivate Windows and you're all set.

You really shouldn't have any problems if you install all the proper drivers, which is made much easier in Windows 10. pretty great!!!

If u don't want to guess about another one random bsod, u have to reinstall windows. It may work ok, but may give some troubles, which u will not concretize. I remember one recent example, when there was review and testing new 7700k on system where had been installed 6700k before, z270 chipset - it loses in perfomance and on stock frequences...a little bit, but the problem was solved with new system installation.
