When I put the new blower on I noticed it seemed a little loose but the screws were tight and now sometimes I can hear a fan noise that sounds like its hitting the LED plug but its clear.

I think what I was hearing was just pump noise because it has gone away. The card stays at 45 C under load

108i ? a 1080 or a 1080 Ti ? They are not needed on the 1080/1080 Ti FE Models. Might try asking here: Contact UsNever have seen spare fans and such on for sale from EVGA before.

Have a 1080ti black with hydro cooler without backplate just wanted to know if you could get the new parts that makes the old hydro like the new one.

I actually just purchased this 400-HY-5598-B1 Kit and was delivered last night for my FE 1080 Ti. 2 of the spring-loaded screws to mount the pump (via passing through the PCB) came without threading. Straight up just a pin with a screw around it. Ended up using the screws that came on the card originally. Thought it was annoying but w/e. Spun the blower fan around inside the shroud and thought it was a pretty tight clearance, but we would roll with it. Wrong choice. When installed into the PC (and perhaps the fan "falls/hangs" a little lower) it spins into the shroud and produces an atrocious sound. I believe the shroud is warped in some way as if you apply slight pressure to the LED logo with a finger (almost pushing the shroud back into its normal shape) the sound does go away and the fan stops hitting the shroud. Paid for 3-day shipping to the East Coast for a total of $198 for a cooler that arrived with flawed parts & appears to have a shroud out of spec. Not worth the $50 price increase, or any price really. 0/10 would buy again. Will post pictures/video when I get home tonight.

Hmmm, not sure on that one. Did you try EVGA Precision XOC to try manually setting it and/or a fan curve? Are you sure that you plugged in the correct fan header? I know there is a 2 pin & a 4? pin fan header depending upon which PCB you have.

Not a fan of the VRAM plate at all midplate was more than enough its it also effects GPU temps. Granted might not be much but i hate seeing my GPU clock drop bins due to temps. I can also see this being a real PITA when re applying thermal paste usually have to to couple application just to get right. Now have to deal with ROUND application on vram plate. Glad i got the first kit.

Thanks for this post. I was one of the people upset about the price raises but this clarifies a lot. It still puts this out of my price range, but glad to hear evga didn't raise prices for no reason
