Had an EVGA 550w G2 PSU fail.. It smoked/crackled and popped. Just glad I was there to turn power off from PC in time for it not to get worse.

I've now just received the replacement PSU as I paid for it to be sent first with collateral payment option.

I don't understand why I should be paying for return delivery of the faulty PSU when it could well have caused a major incident. Why would I not get refunded for the cost of the return delivery?

It was not my fault that this happened. It was a failed PSU provided by EVGA..

Any help understanding why I should stump up?

Regards

    Hello,

I am sorry if you are experiencing any frustrations but the RMA process is a shared cost between the customer and EVGA. The customer is responsible to ship something to EVGA and EVGA is responsible to ship something back to the customer.

We do cover the costs of the shipping from the customer to EVGA in the form of a prepaid shipping label but that is only offered to customers that are within 30 days of purchase, having a failure within 30 days of recieving a RMA and special cases. Just by looking at your RMA history, it looks like your last RMA for three months ago so you would not qualify under these terms for a prepaid shipping label.

If you have any other questions or concerns about the RMA process and the RMA policy please feel free to follow up with our customer service team via email at supportEU@evga.com
