Hi. So here is the full story. I bought the EVGA GTX1080 Hybrid Cooler (400-HY-5188-B1) on 26th of May. It worked perfectly until about 1 week ago. Then my pc started making a weird, constant noise, which it never made before. At the time i didnt realise what part was doing it. But restarting my pc a few times would usually fix it, until today. Today i had the same problem and as always i tried restarting my pc many times, but it didnt help. So i decided to ignore the noise, since i was using headphones anyway, and my pc seemed to work fine otherwise. I booted up a game (Witcher 3) and within ~10 seconds, before i could even load a game, i got jumpscared by a very loud fan. I quickly turned on the msi afterburner overlay to check the temps, and saw that my gpu was running at ~95 degrees celsius!!! I then quickly closed the game and after about 20 minutes, the temps stabilized at ~70 degrees celsius. And thats when i realised that the cooler pump is probably dead or somehow stuck, because thats the only reason for such major overheating. And thats probably what was making the weird noise.
Since then, i have uninstalled the cooler.
So yeah. Is it possible to get a replacement or a refund ? I bought it from amazon uk.
