That's because Windows probably installed it's own driver when you upgraded Windows 10. For some reason, the Nvidia drivers in their database have issues or lack some features, even though they are supposed to be official drivers. You want to get them straight from Nvidia. Oh, and Windows likes to install drivers on it's own, even while the computer is in use, like in Ranma's thread (I've had the same issue myself). Good luck with your new Windows 10 installation. It was a pain getting it set up to how I wanted it. Way too many "features", bloatware, and automation. Just stupid stuff you don't want or expect from an OS, some of it stuff that shouldn't be on by default. Like the start menu with all the advertisments, news, and Twitter feeds; or the Xbox game overlay that's on by default for some reason (nothing weirder than running a game from Steam, and Windows just prompts you about how to bring up the Xbox game bar).

I've updated the Windows 10 OS on three PCs to the "Creator's edition" and have had only one completed job dump on upload from a PC with an EVGA 1050ti card. I have updated all NVidia drivers to the newest version as they became available; the one "pure" AMD machine, running R7 graphics from the APU and an RX480 GPU, was a hassle. In the AMD case, I had to remove and reinstall the graphics drivers. All three machines are rockin' steady at this point.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

bcavnaugh was the one who pointed it out to me when I was having serious issues with Windows updating itself and wiping out my points even after I told it not to update it. They deserve the real thanks :)

Bummer loosing the work Would be nice to find a way to prevent any driver / OS updates while Any WU were active ---- or at least automatically make a restore point in your current Folding that would allow you to finish the WU after sorting your PC errors out
