Needeless to say I am quite surprised, left a voicemail with customer service but I'm just curious if anyone has ever had this happen and if I go through an RMA process or if theres any protocol for this?

I attached a photo that shows the GTX 1080 P/N but says GTX 1070 on the other label.

Maybe the backplate is incorrect? What does GPU-Z say the card is?

Did you install it to see what it shows up as? It's hard to tell which card you have by that picture.  If it really is the wrong card, i would push for 2 day shipping on the replacement card.

Plugged it in to check and it's definitely a 1070.

I received an email from them telling me the serial number corresponds to a 1080 and they think it may be the wrong shroud/backplate but according to GPU-Z it is a 1070 and has 1070 core speed ect.

They are going to send me an advance RMA, I guess this is why people always vouch for their excellent customer service!
