Gamer Nexus did a video about some of the cases on Computex, and talk a little about the DG7 series at 07:55 if I'm not mistaken.

Would it be right to assume the announced X299 FTW K wouldn't fit into this? It seems to only support up to ATX and the board is listed a EATX :/

That's correct.

Hardly they will change the template, now that the cases are almost ready to hit the market.

Re: EVGA wants feedback on DG-7 Case 2017/06/24 10:09:32 (permalink)
I love the looks of the case, but am concerned about enough air flow. I'm OCD and use a Fan Controller, but can live without one. I don't see why they couldn't come up with a modular 5.25" bay if they wanted to. The DVD drive is not dead, but is on life support. I use a portable one the one time a year I have to have one. With or without a 5.25" bay, I would buy the case. I love the look, but am more concerned with the interior lay out/design. Aesthetics are always good, but performance/utility is more important to me. Water cooling friendly is a necessity. I realize the case, as all cases are, has to be branded. But, it doesn't have to be a flashing neon sign for EVGA. Most of us could figure out how to fix that too, so not a real big deal. If I can fit 2 360 mm rads, a good sized Reservoir and the almost 12" FTW 3 or 2 in it, with enough room to spare so it doesn't look cramped, I would be happy. Show us some pictures of the interior and exterior and give us a release date. However, I suspect if they are asking for feedback, that means release dates are not too close.

Following the DG 8 tradition, what we have always called the left side panel is the front now. What we used to call the front is the right side. So, in keeping with that it is sometimes hard to determine what someone is referring to when they talk about a feature on the front of the case.

Just release it. I'm ready, willing and able.

I think they should offer a full tower chassis as well. Also a satin black or black version. That military look really narrows the buyer base.
Motherboards are coming in black pcb so it can fit any build, and so should chassis.Other than that I like the overall design of the case, other than the feet.Keep the EVGA logo on the psu shroud, but add an acrylic insert with changeable lighting and effects. After all RGB does sell. All of this can still keep the chassis affordable to any consumer, and be a viable choice to all builders.

Indeed.
Would be nice to have a new word from EVGA about ETA and price point.

wait... please tell me the DG-7 is still going to be released. While the DG-8 are nice , the deseign is not my cup of tea.

Every since i saw the DG-7 in that CES video I have been in love with it. I think it is a perfect compliment to the hadron air. Please please , tell me if its not canceled .

And as far as feedback. Evga .... RELEASE THIS. i love it. I am setting aside money just for this case. Please please don't make the glass very dark shaded. This is what stopped me from getting the coolermaster mastercase series with the glass. It was just to darn smoky colored. Whats the point of class if you can't see whats on the inside because the glass is too dark even with LEDS. At least give us a clear non tinted option.

I love the design of the DG-7 it looks very clean! it reminds me of those show cases are tech shows that are just concept. It fits that grey/metal look you guys make all your stuff in. Its perfect. It .. if i may say .. looks much better than the DG-7

I doubt they are going to cancel it, since they already published it on their front page during Computex 2017.
Just need to be patient.

I'm so hyped for this case but I really hope there'll be a white version (WITH WHITE INTERIOR, very important), hell even a black version with white interior would look really nice.

The reason for the white interior is because it reflects LED's far better than black does so with the current RGB craze it's gonna be amazing.

But even if it'll only come in black, this is definitely what i'll be buying. Looks absolutely amazing, and it looks like airflow wont be a problem either. +1 hyped af!

Edit:
I saw people talking about 5.25 bay not being dead... please do not add this to the case, it looks and is really old school. It would sadden me to see such a beautiful case getting ruined by that.

I really wish they'd give some type of ETA, at least Qx or Fall something. Its just such a good looking case.

I really want this case to replace my current one but its been over a month since any new info and I'm about to just buy the Corsair 570x if nothing surfaces soon.

Yea I agree with the whole w8ting BS game, its the same with the X299 Dark, its like they are scared to give us anything whatsoever to lean on so it could lessen the frustration that most of us have.  I wrote a paragraph a few weeks ago bring this fact to light and how they will lose customers/fans if they keep up this trend,  but they didn't even respond to that.  So I don't know what they are playing at, so i am getting pretty frustrated cause I really wanted the DG77 or DG75 for my upcoming build...but now I'm thinking about going elsewhere since they don't seem to care about all their supporters concerns or complaints.  I thought they were suppose to have this legendary Customer Satisfaction and support but now myself, a loonnggg time supporter of EVGA like many others feel like this so-called awesome service now is MIA....

It is not our intention to keep everyone in the dark, we are very excite and working very diligently to bring this product to market. I cannot share much details, however I can share that we are aiming for a Q3 launch. I hope this will satisfy some of the desire for update and I will provide more updates as they are available.

Re: EVGA wants feedback on DG-7 Case 2017/07/19 13:00:22 (permalink)
Hello evga community, i was looking a case for a new ryzen build so as soon i seen this case i really liked it.
I approcciate that evga is searching for community feedback on this case, so i will share my toughts too :)

functionality (but i guess many of you already mentioned these arguments):
  • Support for top and front radiators and an amount of space for a liquid cooling system in general
  • removable/hidden cage for HDD (even if i don't plan on using them the more options there are the better it is)
  • magnetic filters for my lazy ass xD
  • some sort of velcro straps for an easy cable management
  • ssd mount on the psu shroud could be useful
  • i/o top panel could get some adjustment (more usb port, some lightning control, hdmi for an easier vr access, fan control)
  • optical dri.... ehm no, just don't, who the hell still use optical drives? XD
aesthetics (just personal preference):
  • i prefer crystal clear tempered glass panel (black tempered glass panel for the front is ok) you could create a case with a blackish TG side panel and another one with a crystal clear type to let us choose the one we prefer
  • i prefer not to have a tempered glass on the back of the case, perhaps you could use a very dark tempered glass type to not show the cable management (unless someone has god tier skills in cable management i do not know why someone should let you see all the mess that's behind the case xD)
  • both the normal and the led logo on the front panel are very nice but i don't really like the huge led logo on the psu shroud and that big DG-7 on the glass panel (either remove them or make them a bit smaller and without led)
the rest is fine and i would love a white version of it :)
sorry for my bad english

Re: EVGA wants feedback on DG-7 Case 2017/07/19 14:15:44 (permalink)
Personally, I love the way the DG-76 case looks on the exterior currently. The darkened glass gives it a shadow/leery effect that works perfectly for my preference. The overall aesthetic is classy without being too over-the-top or too plain. I especially like the way the top has been designed, with grooves that give it an industrial appeal while maintaining function. I don't think I've seen really any builds using the top as an intake, so fan filters are useless at the top IMO. I don't have any HDDs and don't plan on having any unless I decide to do a backup solution within the computer (highly unlikely, and I have the infrastructure and hardware to do it over the local network anyway), so a removable HDD cage would be optimal.

I have been considering other cases from competitors but they just don't do it for me. They are either too big (some claim to be mid-tower, but are just as large on the exterior as my full tower) or don't fit a 280mm radiator properly, top or front. I really like the illuminated EVGA logo on the power supply shroud, and the one on the front at the top is growing on me. I saw these cases at Computex 2017 and I just can't stop drooling over them. Everything I have seen so far has been as good or better with fewer compromises to other cases!

I've had my current case for at least 5 years since my original build, and all my parts have been upgraded minus the chassis. I am now looking at a second upgrade on CPU (4770k) and SSDs (Samsung 850 EVO 500GB + 1TB) while keeing my EVGA GTX 1080 FTW2 the same and reducing from full tower to mid-tower. It would be great to do a full-out EVGA build :D

This case is not a work of art, it is a masterpiece!

I totally agree with Paul's opinion on the EVGA logo on the case, it shows off the God tier brand that is EVGA, with out overpowering the case's sleek/classy/dayum fine image.

I am counting the days till I can get my hands on one of these, the only thing I would like to see is the case being released with some fans included.

Big ups EVGA 😎

seriously still no release date? Computex was 2 months ago.

Is there a way to turn off the EVGA logos lighting on the 76 and 77?
I'm most interested in the DG-75..does it support vertical GPU mount too?

I'm most interested to learn about the dimensions...
