HELP Witcher 3 on 1060

My GeForce experience says i can run it on ultra but i can barely run it on medium any advice or help.

    Just by knowing you have a GTX1060, I know you cant run it on Ultra.
     
    Make sure you turn off the Hairworks. That kills performance and imo, makes the game look worse.

    Reduce your resolution. Run in on low of medium. Turn off hairworks and vsync. reduce the number of background characters.

    You also didn't post your system specs but a very good quality CPU will also make a difference.

    Many times GeForce Experience will try to enable the highest settings possible and maintain at least 30 FPS. Personally, I find anything less than 60 difficult to play with, so I recommend managing your settings manually; a lot of settings can likely be turned down and will only have a very small impact on the visuals.

    1060 - Witcher 3 on ULTRA  = uh uh, nope. 
     
     
     
    try it on mostly HIGH  w/ hairworks  OFF ....might be buttery smooth then
