Purchased the 1080ti yesterday loaded up everything and all good. OSD was showing up in games like BF1,PUBG and ESO. Then after turning my PC off OSD keeps showing in Corsair Utility Engine when toggled on. I have tried unstalling/installing both programmes and installing into different locations but still it wants to only show in CUE. Plus if I toggle on/off too many times it causes CUE to crash and stop working.

Yeh it appears to be a problem with CUE. Using the software with my mouse sends the PrecisionX osd to that window and not my game window.

Welcome to the forums..You will need to add the Corsair Utility Engine's executable to the 'Exclude List' in the PrecisionX Server..Click the PrecisionX Server icon in the Sytem Tray area to open the server..Then click 'Add'..Then browse to the Corsair Utility Engine's .exe to add it..Same with any other program that shows On-screen Display where you don't want it to..The PrecisionX Server excludes many programs from OSD, but not every program in the world..Add it manually.
