I have decided to update or refurbish my current system because there is northing wrong with it, even though I really want to build a Ryzen/Vega PC
Specs:
Intel i7 3820
EVGA 4-way SLI Classified Mobo
G.Skill 16gb DDR3 2133 memory (XMP)
XFX R9 290 in Tri-Fire
Corsair AX1200 PSU (Thanks= Dillin)
Monsta Radiators all over the place
Full water cooling (CPU GPU Mobo)
So I went ahead and got a new monitor, it was time to update from [link=mailto:1080p@75hz]1080p@75hz[/link] (OC).
Current monitor is a Acer H233H:
https://www.amazon.com/acer-h233h-bmid-23-inch-widescreen/dp/b001od76rwNot too bad for a 9 year old display ( I had three ).
The display I will have monday is a AOC Agon 27" AG271QX with FreeSync ([link=mailto:1440p@144Hz]1440p@144Hz[/link])
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G5JYN0C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Its a all around awesome monitor at 1ms (TN) response time, all the colors, good viewing angle, nice build quality and my favorite part.... a headphone holder!
(So I went TN b/c the 1ms timing.)
My 2nd choice was this guy:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0173PEX34/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A15YBCJT4UFKRSAcer XF270HU 27-inch
its the same monitor but the timing is 4ms VS. 1 ms and its IPS VS TN.
I don't like the look of the cheap plastic, but I know Acer makes a nice product.
The down side is the slightly slower speeds and its $110 more.
This is only for gaming, no photos/videos will be created or edited on it.
Anyone have a AOC gaming monitor, I know they're a bit new to the gaming scene but in my book this just means they will try harder to impress.
Also does Freesync support Tri-Fire?
