32 cores for 4000 dollars isn't bad at all really, especially with a 3.2 turbo clock.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

No, like Intel, AMD charges a premium for dual-socket mode.  The Epyc 7551P is a single-socket 32c-64t with a base clock of 2GHz is purported to be $2000.

Although, if tested in fully-multi-threaded, I see a 4GHz overclocked Threadripper 16-core performing identically to a non-Turbo Eypc 7551P.  So this, plus the turbo applied to the 32-core, would ensure people choose the right processor.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

Or 32 NVME drives for a rediculous amount of drive bandwidth.

I mean they could even fill out the front of a 24x hot swap server with NVME storage, and still have room for 2 full x16 slots inside!

Get one of these (SSG-2028R-NR48N) with an Epyc board and put 48x hotswap NVME in it now we're talkin! https://www.supermicro.com/products/nfo/NVMe.cfm
