A little background on my issue, A few months back I had a hard drive failure and it wiped my system. Before the hard drive failed I was running the latest Nvidia drivers and all windows 10 updates were installed. Also note that Windows 10 was the free upgrade from win 8.1. After the hard drive failed I decided it would be a good time to do a fresh install of Win10. So I did just that and downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers which were the same drivers the system had before the crash. So here's what's happening, if I try to play any game after the computer has sat idle for longer then a day the entire system freezes and automatically reboots. If the computer was off before I start a game everything works fine. Any suggestions?
 
System specs are as follows
 
EVGA z87 Classified MoBo
Intel Core i7 4790k. (not overclocked or modified in any way)
NZXT X71 liquid cooler
16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 ram
2 EVGA GTX 760 SC cards in SLI
EVGA Supernova 850G2 psu
2 Samsung 250gb 850 ssd's
1 WD 750GB HDD

Automatic rebooting while gaming usually points to a psu problem. Other causes would be overheating hardware, or defective gpu's.

ok while that makes sense. I don't think that is the issue in my case. As I stated before the system doesn't lock up after a restart. My idle CPU temps are at about 25-27 degrees C. and I can play for hours upon hours after a reboot. It only locks up after sitting idle for more then a day. So overheating or a PSU problem doesn't seem likely.

Are you using the powersaving features in Windows and the NVidia driver? Do you have GeForce experience and the 3d drivers installed also? How full is your boot drive with the O/S on it? Are you overclocking that cpu and if so what did you set the voltage to?

Powersaving might be the problem. I will look at that when I get home from work tonight. I am using GeForce Experience with all updated necessary drivers installed. My boot drive has less then 100gb of space used out of 225gb I think. No I don't have the CPU overclocked.
 
I do allow the computer to go to sleep. but I allowed that before the hard drive crash and wasn't having a problem before so I didn't think of that.
