Hello EVGA forums.

I don't know this a new problem for this card.
I have no problem with the DP connected monitor, before i get the new driver from Nvidia (Geforce)
The problem is following:
I can see the bios startup screen (ASUS PQ321QE) then the screen go black and turn off.

But if i turn on my plasma screen (Pioneer KRP600A) connected to HDMI.
There i can see the bios startup screen and windows 7 startup screen. just in that second the windows startup screen (Blue background with "Welcome" text) is finished.
The graphic card flips to my DP port monitor and turn off my HDMI plasma screen.

Have anyone any idea how to set up DP port monitor as a primary source? Or there are a SW error in the new driver from NVIDIA??

Thank you for your input's :)

HDMI has priority over DP when both screens are connected. There isn't a way to change this.

    Hello Sajin.
So the solution is to remove the HDMI cable completely.
Not only turn off the HDMI monitor?

    Are this correct understanded.?

    This HDMI - DP priority.
Are this on all versions Graphic cards?
Maybe i shall buy a newer card? :)

    Correct.

Having only the screen off worked for you?

I just tried DP only connected.
    No luck.
Can a older Nvidia driver help? i just today re-installed the recent driver i have used before (382.33) but this also make the same issue.

With the DP port only connected. Does the Asus monitor take a long time to wake from sleep, or does it turn on a receive signal immediately when you power on the system?

The nvidia driver has no control of what is displayed during the boot process.

    Hello RayH.
The Asus monitor will newer wake up (red LED).
And strangely, my Computer will not continue the windows boot. (after the BIOS boot)
If i turn on my HDMI monitor then turn on the computer. all booting up happen only on HDMI monitor.
after the glowing windows logo then graphic card switching to DP montior and turn off the HDMI monitor.
Both monitors first on after windows have finished to load everything. Then i can turn off the HDMI monitor.  and only run on DP monitor.

I have newer experienced this kind of error before. the ASUS PQ3321QE is my first 4K monitor. (the monitor have only DP port)

i also tried to change display setting in BIOS (keep current or Force BIOS) nothing helps.

So let me get this straight...

When starting your computer with both displays turned on only the monitor connected via hdmi shows the post/windows boot process, but once windows is finished loading the monitor connected via hdmi turns itself off and you can only use the monitor that is connected via dp?

If yes, then it sounds like you need to setup your monitors manually under "set up multiple displays" inside the nvidia control panel.

    Update:
Tried several cards (Nvidia based) 550Ti, 760, 780 980. none of them can start or allow windows to boot with DP connected monitor only.
The solution is a extra monitor connected to DVI port. Not a perfect solution, but this works.
(BIOS POST boot and windows boot on DVI, then automatic switch over to DP monitor when windows boot is complete).

Sounds right as DVI has priority over HDMI.

Have anyone tested a DP only monitor on the new series 10xx cards?

The spec. for my GTX 760 card is confusing.
    RESOLUTION & REFRESH:
    Max Monitors Supported: 4
    240 Hz Max Refresh Rate
    Max Analog: 2048x1536
    Max Digital: 4096x2160

Can the DVI-D port run up to 4096x2160? or this only for HDMI and DP port?
Because if i read the Wiki about the DVI-D technology, this only can support up to 2560x1600 resolution.

    DVI-D is limited to 2560X1600.
HDMI and DP should run at 4096X2160 if your display can handle that resolution.

GTX 760 has a 1.2 Display Port, it's been the standard since about 6 years ago or so

    R5 1600 @ 4.1GHz 1.36vc, GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid, ASRock x370 Taichi, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPx

    OK. thank you for info.
Because the ASUS PQ321QE need DP ver. 1.2 as minimum.

Be sure the card can run on DP monitor only.
Or you are forced to have a secondary "dummy" monitor with DVI port.

As far as I am aware, there was no 760 or 770 Ti; there was, however, a 750 Ti, which is the most likely card the seller has. The 750 Ti, however, does only have 2GB of VRAM.
