Hi, can this PSU power the mobo? I notice the connector is missing 1 4+4.

Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 750W Smart,  Not the DPS one.

If not I guess I should return it now and grab the DPS version?

It will power the motherboard, but the question is, what hardware are you going to be running on the board?  That will determine if 750W is enough.

Is the PSU you have missing the connector?  As in it was supposed to be included based on the specs?  You only need one 8 pin (4+4) connector.  The board may have two for extreme overclocking needs.

According to the Thermaltake website, this unit only has one 4+4 CPU connector included. bdary is correct that the additional 4+4 connector is for extreme overclocking and is not needed for most applications.
