I've had the CLC 280 for a few months now, and I love it, but the EVGA logo stays red constantly even when it's at idle/low temps. I set the logo to be a static "White" to fit in with the rest of my build, and it's white when I first start up my computer after it's been turned off for 15+ minutes, but the moment I put my CPU under load and the temps go up, the logo turns red and stays red until I turn off my computer for an extended period of time.

Is there a solution to this? I don't mind it too much when it turns red under load (though I'd prefer it to always stay white), but I definitely want it to be white when the temps are lower.

Thanks!

Same issue here, i have it at "led temp", it starts blue but when it get red, it will always stay red, even when low temp.  I have to go into settings and switch to ambient color then to temp color to reset it.

Also, the cpu temp displayed in flow control is not the same as precision xoc osd cpu temp.

    Cheers!

i think the temp in flow control is the coolant temp and the one in XOC is the cpu die temp

Flow Control display 2 temp, cpu and coolant.

After a few benchmarks, i noticed that the middle temperature led (60c green), max (80c red) are working fine.  If it goes to green or red, when tempature drops back down (35c) it will go red instead of blue.
Not sure if its hardware or software. Got the latest version of flow control installed.  The blue (40c) is displaying correctly at boot time but will stop working as soon as temperature reach 60 or higher.

    Cheers!

Please try downloading the latest release, version 2.0.3! This is to address issues with the LED's not working correctly. You can find the download HERE.

    Hi,
I had mine set color static to the kind of white-ish blue to match the DG-87 side panel. It will turn to red and stay red whatever I try. The first time I managed to set it back to that blue color playing a lot with the settings but now it wont. I guess a reboot would fix that but I think that it shouldn't be that unstable. The software should be modified so it doesnt interact continuously with the computer, it should hold the configuration in there and not require a stable connection, which you'll never get with USB on the long run. (running v2.10)

I see that this an on going issue without a clear fix yet. I have to open a ticket.

Sorry to thread mine, but I too have this issue with my CLC 280.

My CLC 280 switches to red at random and switches back to green (My custom color) randomly too.

When the cooler has switched to red, nothing I can do can reset it or bring back another color, it just returns on its own when it wants to...CPU temp does not seem to effect the color.

I have mine set on static green to match my founders edition 1080ti

Is this an RMA job? Seems like quiet a few people have encountered it. I guess I can live with it.

    same here.

Happens typically when gaming. have it on LED sync with precision. It would be nice if we could get a software update so I could actually use the software

This happens to my clc 120 constantly and it messes up my whole theme. I have a cross ship RMA ticket in but who knows if it’ll fix it. Mad annoying.

This happened to me and I just noted the U.I is very confusing ans is probably the cause of it.

Basically if you want to use any other mode than LED TEMP, you should only select the option on the top right place where you see all the modes listed. If you go on the LED COLOR tab and click "OK" on the button it will conflict and turn the LED TEMP mode on.

So if you are stuck, first select "ambient mode" on the LED COLOR tab and set any color them press the little OK button on the bottom, then turn led OFF, then turn ON and select the mode you want and don't mess with the LED COLOR tab / section anymore.

To be honest EVGA should hire any freelancer U.X designer to come up with a better interface, the current one has poor user experience.

    Hope it helps.

Experienced this problem myself for the first time today, was gaming away on pubg and I have my led set to white and noticed half way through map it changed to red. All my temps were within limits, it had me worried coz I thought the pump had stopped working so manually turned pump up and noticed rpm went up in the flow control. I didn't realise that this was still so buggy. Also I cannot run the led's in temp mode, everytime I try to it crashes the flow control and a window pops up saying device not found, has this happened to nyone else?

Anytime you get the Device Not Found error, the first step is to go into your motherboard BIOS and make sure that the fan header connected to the CLC is set to 100%, and not a lower value or a smart fan setting.  After that, uninstalling and reinstalling Flow Control would be the next step.
