Hey guys,
Really do not know where else to get help about these questions trolled on. So I am new to pc gaming, I have always been a console player so I have been using a Xbox elite controller to play on my pc, yes I know its wrong and I will get rekt'ed. I have carpal tunnel so its hard for me to use M/K, but I am getting tired of just getting my @ss handed to me on pc.

I am using a Corsair K70 RGB keyboard and M65 Pro RGB mouse. I am running 2 evga 1080 ti's founders edition ( got them by the step up program).

I like playing FPS games and on console I kick ass with a controller, with m/k its a different story.
How can I get better at m/k.
What games do you recommend to practice and get better.
What is DPI and if the highest setting is better???

Any tips would be appreciated guys.

Thank you for all your help in advance.

Generally, the higher DPI you use, the more sensitive the mouse will be in game which could lead to jerkiness or inaccuracy in aiming for FPS. Generally I stick at or around 2000dpi which gives a good mix of being reactive but pretty accurate. For sniping, you want a lower DPI but for hip shots higher but not so high your movements aren't controlled.

Like Sajin said, practice practice practice. It pretty much becomes muscle memory of how much to move the mouse to look desired direction. Just try to find a dpi you like and stick with it.

A mouse with a changeable dpi is great, i can turn mine down to 800 and up to like 6k, but mostly 1600 is the one i use the most.
The rest is just practice, as which games to practice with, any one you want as each will be different.

I run the dpi on the logitech mouse @ 900 and a 1000 polling rate.
Never could get used to gaming on a keyboard so I picked up a
Logitech G-13 gaming pad works great first one lasted nine years.
As far as games go Just for practice BF4 has a practice mode and
can be picked up pretty cheap now. Good Luck

pinkfloyd, there is nothing wrong with using a controller, if that's what works for you. Carpal tunnel is not a easy thing to deal with. I'm wondering if the G-13 may be helpful like Nozler suggested. I would use whatever works, and not worry about what people think or say.
