Hi everybody!
Question 1
Is it possible to connect 7 GPU if since there are only 6 VGA connectors ?

Question 2, are there any difference with SATA and PERF connectors ? Can I buy extra PERF cables and plug them into SATA ?

Question 1: Yes, but you'll need to buy an adapter to convert a sata/perf cable to pci-e. Which gpu's are you trying to power?
    Question 2: No.
    Question 3: Yes.

    Thanks for reply Sajin!

GPU's to power is MSI Radeon RX 470 4GB Gaming X.
I will receive my new Evga 1300 G2 PSU tomorrow so I can't create a support ticket just yet without serial number.

Is this adapter something that Evga can supply with or can you specify the cable type.
I saw that the package is delivered with 5 molex and I need 8 in total with perhaps some extenders. So in total 4 cables with 2 or 3 molex connectors per cable.

The 1300w is going to be powering only the gpu's? If no, I'd suggest a 1600w instead.

This cable will allow you to convert the sata power into 8-pin pci-e. The 1300w G2 comes with two perf cables that have 3 molex connections on them per cable for a total of 6 molex connections in total.

Thanks for helping out. I will perhaps order one of these cables if necessary.
I think 1300w will be fine, I've calculated around ~800-1000w consumption.  It's not only 6 gpu's, also 6 risers with molex connectors I have to power up and that's why I would like more molex cables to perhaps divide risers between 3 cables instead of 2.

Is it an option to use an PCI-e 8-pin Male to 2*( 6+2)pin Female Power Y-Splitter on one of the VGA connectors ? And don't use SATA/PERF?

Please keep in mind that based on the power testing done by Techpowerup on the RX 470 custom cards, 7 would pull up to about 90 amps of 12v power from the PSU and that is not accounting for any of the other components in the system. We cannot guarantee that the unit will be able do this for extended periods.

I currently running 7x 1080ti unclocked power at 60%.  using 1200watts of a 1600watt supply, about to add 8th card if I can get the correct cables ordered.

MSI afterburner will show you power usage and let you under clock.  get a power meter to monitor actual wattage to be sure.

Yes, that is true. For extended use of the RX cards and the PSU, under-clocking may be a good solution.

    I have an identical problem to you mbeh4sh;

Where did you buy a VGA splitter from, and an additional VGA cable in order to power the 7th GPU?

I hope posting non-EVGA products is not against forum rules, but would this cable act as an adequate splitter for 2x RX 470's?
    Silverstone 6+2 PCIe Cable (2x) 55cm - Black

The cable is a male 8 pin for a VGA slot, and then the 2x(6+2) males could directly power the GPU's. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

That cable will only work for with silverstone psu's.

I had a look for alternative solutions earlier as well. It's possible to get a custom made Perf cable with a PCIe end -
    moddiy.com
Corsair RMi Series Premium 8-Pin to 8-Pin PCI-E Modular Cable (30cm)

They will customise the Cable for EVGA port compatibility, and use manufacture quality cabling.

Assuming I powered an undervolted rx 470 with this.. would it put too much strain on the PSU?

Should be just fine as long as you're just powering the gpu's with the psu.

    Hi Guys

Im looking at putting together a 13 GPU RIG X 1070, 2 X 1300W EVGA. Will this be sufficient ? My main concern is a similar issue mentioned above, Im 1 PSU/GPU link short on 1 PSU .

Can i connect it to a CPU input via adapter or Sata Adapter ?

    Thanks for advice

You asked the same question in another thread so please try and keep the subject to one forum thread.

    7 GPU on EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2, only 6 VGA ? PERF/SATA question. 2018/01/22 03:48:19 (permalink)
    hi,
I had the same question regarding the 7th gpu installation. all 6 of my rigs are powered by 1300G2 running 6 sapphire nitro+ rx580 8gb, each. I have been searching for a way to insert 7th gpu in the setup for quiet some time since i am single mining and have a lot of spare capacity. From the wall, each rig is consuming 880-890W.

after reading a lot, i have ordered (StarTech.com 6in LP4 to 8 Pin PCI Express Video Card Power Cable Adapter - lp4 to PCI express - molex to 8 pin PCIe)

I also ordered (ROKOO PCI-e Express 1X to 3 Port 1X Switch Multiplier HUB Riser Card +USB Cable) as my motherboard is out of pcie slots. This switch needs to be powered by sata/molex connecton.

3 sata cables from the psu are powering 2 risers each and the 4th will be powering the 7th gpu's riser and ssd. To power the 7th gpu, I am planning to connect one end of the molex to 8pin adopter on psu-perf 1 molex cable and other end on psu-perf2 molex cable. The switch will also be powered by either perf1/perf2 molex cable.

    Is my planning alright?

    Thanks in advance. :)

In my judgement your asking too much from a single PSU.  Running at max, like you miners will cause problems down the road to those GPU's.
