I have an EVGA 970 sc (blower style 04g-p4-1972-kr) card. I would like to do some overclocking, have lower temps and keep the card for as long as I can/want since these days a 970 is usually recommended for games. I'm thinking about upgrading the cooler on it to a Accelero Xtreme III by ARCTIC. Does anyone know if this will work?

According to the owners manual, yes it will fit.

Good...thanks for the help, I thought it wouldn't since its a half size PCB card. I'll post the results on here, but first I'll ask on another larger scale forum to see what other people think.

No problem but the info was directly from the manufacturer of the product... Not sure if you can get any more decisive than that.

It is 40mm longer than your 970 but that is by design so it can cover more models of cards.
