Yes, as long as you don't damage the PCB.  If something goes wrong, you will need to return the card to the original condition (reinstall original heatsink).

Otherwise, you're good to go.

Yeah, exactly as it used to work last time so :)
This one of the reasons which took me to chose evga over others: you guys don't put the stupid sticky in a place where if you open the card it is very likely gonna be broken!
Glad to hear it's still the same.
Keep the good work.

Thank you.

So I was going to ask a question similar to this. I just received my 1080ti FE via the step-up program, and it has sticker on the back that says "Warranty void if removed". I can't really tell if this sticker sits on top of a screw or what, but it's still strange that it is there considering my warranty should still apply even though I disassemble the card. I have the EVGA 5 year warranty.

There is also a EVGA sticker without any other text on it that sits between the two halfes of the backplate, which means that I'll probably have to rip it in order to remove the backplate.

So same question: Will I still retain my warranty if I disasseble the card? And if so, why are there all these stickers?

Yes your still good to water cool. The sticker between the components is just to indicate to support that a card has been opened for whatever reason and would need a more thorough inspection for damage. The warranty void sticker is there because the FE cards are shipped from Nvidia that way, all FE cards will have the same stickers because regardless of "manufacturer" they all came straight from Nvidia. Warranty is still handled by EVGA though.

Ok thanks for the reply. So I guess EVGA will judge if I damaged something during disassembly in case there is a defect. Good to know :)

Yup. Also just so you know there are a bunch of M4 standoffs behind that back plate, so make sure you have an M4 socket to take them off so you can removed the stock cooler.
