Hi I have a Lenovo that I am upgrading to an 850 Supernovo. The existing PS had a 10 pin female (1 pin removed so actually 9) and a 4 pin female. None of the cables supplied with the 850 are 10 pin female. Should I have received such a cable or am I doing something wrong?

Welcome to the Forum Bill Dred
What Model is your Lenovo Computer?
Standards are a 20+4 so your MB has a 24-Pin Connector or a 20-Pin Connector and somewhere else a 4-Pin Connector.
Also you have CPU Connector an 8-Pin that is really 2 4-Pin Connector.
All the Cables are Mark like one side will say MB and then the other end goes to the Power Supply.
Or one end has PCIe or GPU (Video) on one end of the cable and the other end to the PSU.
To note that some companies use the own connectors and when you run into this you need to find an adaptor to use a Standard ATX Power Supply.
You need a Lenovo ATX PSU Adaptor to use a Standard Power Supply. Maybe this Link
