I have two EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 GAMING cards. When the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 comes out, or becomes available, will I'll be elligible for Step Up? My Step Up program is still good for 60 more days.

If we go by history, most likely not because those are usually limited in quantity custom GPUs as they don't have the volume like the reference design does (FE).  I believe the FE or the most basic of all the line is usually for step up unless they have some volume left over from custom to put in the step-up program which I haven't seen till this day.  Correct if I'm wrong veterans.

That doesn't look so good. If it is true, that sucks.

Why not? That's bad business especially for customers.

That is not "bad business" You should be happy they even have a step-up program. And as it is they have never offered their higher tier cards on the step-up list. Yes would I like to have been able to step my 2 1080ftw2 cards to 1080ti FTW3's? Of course, but I am also happy to be able to just upgrade them to the 1080ti fe for very little out of pocket cost.

In no way is this program bad for customers.

That sucks though. Regardless, I may have to buy the two 1080 Ti FTW3 without the Step Up. Currently, the 1080 Ti is sold out as a preordered as well.

    i like to see the
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition GAMING in the step up list. this is the reference card with only  the icx cooler no icx tech or fuse.

    Mannyfit,

It's a blessing in disguise for SLI users.  I am going to guess that you use both cards in SLI, I did the same thing when I had 2 FTW's and then 2 FTW2's.  While the ICX cooler is a great design for a single card, the fact that they distribute the hot air inside the case instead of blowing it outside the case like Founder Edition cards, makes FTW cards less than optimal for SLI use.  There was a 15C difference in temperature in most games between the hotter top card and the cooler bottom card.  With my 2 Founders Edition 1080 Ti's, the temp difference is only around 5C now and the hotter of the two cards rarely reaches 80C with an aggressive fan curve.  Once the Hybrid kit is back in stock, you can purchase 2 of those and that's pretty much the best setup you can have short of spending big bucks on a custom water loop that's not easy to install, requires maintenance, and costs a fortune when using quality parts.  And why go for the FTW3 with it's fancy cooler when you just pull it off to do a custom water block, seems like a waste to me.  I for one was happy to get the 2 FE cards from the step up program, now if EVGA could just have those Hybrid kits in stock!

I don't think people realize that this is basically a promotion that's been on going for some time now.  EVGA can pull the plug on this tomorrow if they wanted to.  Point is, beggars can't be choosers on this.  We're grateful and thankful that it exists and the only AIB partner doing so.
