Hello all,

just installed my EVGA 1080ti FE on monday, LOVE THIS CARD. Upgrading from a EVGA 970 FTW

Ive noticed now, that my 3 ASUS VG248QE are locked to 60hz

I was running it on the 970 as in order [60hz] [144hz] [60hz] all 3 monitors have DVI cables - one of which was connected to the 970 via a DVI-Display adapter

Now since the 1080ti FE has nothing but 3x Display Port and 1x HDMI -- I have all monitors hooked up to it via DVI-Displayport adapter

Is it the adapters that are causing the issue? I dont have any Displayport cables that are just stright display port, thats why I use the adapters. (one of which came with the 1080ti)

I can no longer change the Refresh rate of each monitor separately either - only drop down options that show in the Device manager is 60hz.

this is killing me!

any help is appreciated!

***EDIT***
Also, if it counts all... It wont let me load drivers (always going to the lowest possibly cause to an issue before escalating) I CAN NOT install drivers for the 1080ti. I used the GeForce Experiance, it said I was good.

During my troubleshooting of this problem, I force uninstalled the driver via windows device manager (win 10) and then tried to re-install geforce drivers. Here is the kicker... It says
"no compatible hardware is detected"

So, restarted PC... auto detected and installed drivers. Still wont let me install a newer GeForce driver.

could this be it?

It has Nothing to do with the GPU, so get that out of your head right now, You have to re-do all of your PC Visual settings all over again and also install the Ne Driver for our 1080Ti's as well. I actually had to have my friend re-do all the visual settings because this is totally new Tech long with my Monitor being G-sync. Now, when i had to redo my visual settings by myself the 2nd and 3rd time i got lucky enough to get at least a 98 or 97% right out of a 100%. But i know what your talking about... I think, because it happened to me until my New Monitor and GPU's visual setting were all re-done the way they were meant to set at.

Look in Your Nvidia Control Panel. There you can manually adjust your Monitors visuals to the right settings. But don't do it unless you really know what your doing. It is easy once you know how.

Edit: It would've been a lot better and cheaper in the long run to switch to Display Port and say Good-bye forever to the DVI inputs.

Is it the adapters that are causing the issue?

Yes. You'll need to switch all your monitors over to displayport without any adapters.

On the nVidia control panel, it does not let me select anything but 60hz for my monitors.

That error can be caused by trying to install the wrong driver for your current os. Trying to install the 32-bit driver on a 64-bit os will cause the above posted error.

Sajin,

I appreciate all of the help BTW, you are a legend.

So, UPDATE:
The driver "installed" but on device manager, the display adapter (1080ti) still shows the same driver as the picture I uploaded in the original post.

Now I cant get GeForce Experiance to open. Going to try a full uninstall/reinstall of that now.

So GeForce experience shows that I have version 381.65 installed and good. Release date 04/05/2017

Windows Device Manager shows :
Driver Date: 3/31/2017
Driver Version: 22.21.13.8165

It is not giving me an option to "roll back" nor does the "Update Driver" function find another - even on my own PC (which I downloaded from the link you provided me)

lolwut?
