3 different x99 classified, each powered with an EVGA 1300 PS, and running 3 different Xeon e5 v4 processors. When I press the power button, the system powers on, then immediately goes off for a second, then powers itself on to post and boot normally. This happens on all 3 systems, any idea why?

The only time I have that happen with any of my rigs is when I totally turn off the PSU with the switch or disconnect the power from the PSU. It will do that on the first boot, then if the power was never removed from the PSU they start normally, no start/ off / restart boot.

Thanks for the quick reply. You might be 100% correct. I always switch off my battery backup after a shut down, which is exactly what you mentioned. I just tried not cutting off power after shutting down, and voila, it starts normal.

Seems some motherboards do exactly what you're describing after cutting the power via psu switch or unplugging psu from wall. I flip the switch on my psu every night before going to bed. My motherboard powers up without an initial power on/off cycle in the morning.
