I have my gaming pc for a media center on the big tv but my old i7 920 pc in my bedroom is dying. Well I ordered a kaby lake i5 7600 and when I received it I realized I purchased the locked cpu that comes with a oem cooler by mistake, I also broke the seal like a idiot first thing. So I canceled my water cooler and a z270 mobo and rethought the build..

I ordered a asus h270

And 8 gb of ddr4

https://www.amazon.com/gp..._o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Using my old ssds etc with a 770gtx and a new corsair air 540 in white to replace a 33 pound cosmos s case...

I already have regrets that I should have just bought a i7 kaby lake, then again I havnt gamed on a desktop in 2 years..Thinking of playing arma 3 again...

Anything wrong with the ram ive chosen or the mobo, is this adequate for a 2nd pc to do small desktop gaming on etc that I cant do on the big tv..

Visit ASUS webpage for that motherboard, they should have a list of approved RAM.  If your budget will allow, i would try and go with 2x8GB RAM kit.
