I can see the files ok, but I do not know what project was run, or what the clock speeds are.
Are they stock speeds or overclocked, does the project use AVX or any other of the newer instruction sets?
I hear Ryzen works ok for sieve but not so hot on LLR for PG
If AMD has a hard time with AVX, did they get the other instruction sets right?
Life is too short to carry a cheap pocket knife

What project? Listed on the Bottom Tabs, If this is not what you are asking then not sure what to provide you here? "project use AVX" I Have no clue The PG Tasks was Prime Sierpinski Problem (LLR) v8.00 Sorry Bill did not collect the type of data you are asking, I will try and do better next time. Did not want to get into Overclock Settings and all that, it was more can it run a BOINC CPU Task or not for the most part.

Some more info, wanted to see how the two Kings ran together 8/16 CPUs with HT On and Set to run 10 Threads and Running 1 Task. Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0GHz LGA 2011-v3 -v- RYZEN 7 1800X Both have HT on running a Single Task.

Seems like Ryzen is pretty good. Especially for the price. It seems like Ryzen spends less cpu time per credit in your Google spreadsheet, but seems much worse off in your images. This would fit with Ryzens difficulty with core latency across clusters. Can you run some units across 4 cores/8 threads?
See how it pans out if you keep within the cluster. Pcper.com has some latency benchmarks on core latency and how much it improves with faster memory speeds.

It is odd that Ryzen Master shows my Memory @ 1067MHz and the BIOS show 2133MHz.
I still cannot use any XMP Profiles, my memory is 3200MHz to boot.

That is ok and normal Bill, 1067 x 2 =2134 Double data rate memory. Just like CPUz shows memory speed only one way, at 2ghz CPUz shows it at 1ghz and its correct.

Thanks Bill, I need to install CPU-z and see what it shows. Here are some changes made today Seems that only the CPU Diode was changed with the -20C

Thanks bcavnaugh! Pretty interesting. Is the difference in performance simply the clock speed - 3.3(?)GHz boost on the 5960X with all cores vs. 3.6(?)GHz for the 1800X?

I am sitting out on the Ryzen right now, I like it's numbers you have been posting though. When they get it "refined" and the growing pains straightened out I believe I will make the move in that direction. I went with a X99 EVGA FTW K motherboard for the price, it is killer right now!!! Also went with EVGA since I just cannot give up the support that goes with it. I understand it's a few years old technology, but I am always behind on updating anyway. I am just trying to decide on which CPU I want to purchase for this set up, but definitely more than 4 cores. I am going to take my time piecing this together anyway since it is going to be a case swap, pretty much a 2 system build> Old out of current case in to new case> new build and set up in current case. I enjoy it, but not looking forward to it!
Nice howdy, I just built one too:) the X99 platform may be a couple years old, but it still compares very favorably with the Ryzen chipset (better really in several ways). And I agree, the evga mobo's have had some fantastic deals - if you have a microcenter near ya, the 5820k and 6800k are quite cheap there as well (although still not as cheap as the Ryzen 6-core equivalents).

I would not go by the Stock Clocks that show on Post Above. I have my i7-5960X running @ 4300MHz and (Ryzen 7 1800X @ 4125MHz @ 1.408 vCore) The Ryzen 7 1800X shows 11,140.64 ATM and the i7-5960X 9,708.29 ATM for Avg. credit. Both are running @ 100% 16 Tasks Running that is and I now have the OC set in the Bios on the Ryzen 7 1800X Rig. Took a while to get a stable OC and now need to work on 4200MHz only because that was my Goal with the CPU. howdy2u2 It took a lot to risk going with the AMD and if I cannot hit 4200MHz Stable to run PrimeGrid then I will wait till next year for the X299. I did want a second X99 but also wanted to see or give AMD a test run and see if it was worth being so late in the game or age.

heh, i should have gone back and re-read the first post... see you have the 1800X speed up there as well. that makes it even more interesting - i wouldn't have thought amd would be pulling ahead at slower clocks.

I would say that the RYZEN 7 1800X is about as good as a Intel Core i7-3930K Processor ATM All Around that is. I cannot get 4200MHz without going over 1.5 on the vCore so it looks like I am stuck at 4175MHz @ 1.480 vCore.

I almost got the 1800X, then I saw price-performance of the 1700 no "X" followed by 1600X, and I think I will be content with the 6-core for what I will be doing.
