I am digging it all things considering. Just done a clean/fresh install today its great. I have not got to try out the new "game" mode yet since GOW4 is downloading atm. 116gb download! I guess for now to really take advantage of that feature it must be Windows Store games. Its kinda weird seeing powershell now instead of cmd prompt when right clicking on the flag. Also be sure to uninstall the extra apps that are crap and just taking up space. I seen Facebook up taking 336mb alone! MS has got more brash with adding more useless apps well to me. Things have changed and moved around a bit. I had to poke around to find some of the stuff I have been use to.

I installed it on my laptop...unfortunately it disabled a program that I use to schedule music for some of my radio stations. Spoke with the people at the company that supplies the program, including one of the original team who developed it many years ago and they are downloading the Creator's Edition to see what they can do to repair the program. Unfortunate that things like this do happen...hopefully fixed very soon. Otherwise...the upgrade went flawlessly...

I installed the creators update yesterday. I can't say there is anything that benefits my uses that I've found yet (haven't tested game mode yet). What I did notice is that MS is forcing the smart screen filter on you as well as parts of the Windows Defender. Even though I have my own A/V software, I can't use system services to stop or disable Windows Defender Security Center Service from running at the same time. The only way I found around that is by taking ownership in the registry. The other thing I can't believe they got rid of (or it's buried so deep I can't find it), is the ability to change certain font size settings. MS minimized those settings enough in my opinion from Win7, but now to have no option at all ticks me off. If anyone stumbles upon them, please let me know. And I'm not referring to using a 125% setting or a custom scaling setting. Those types of settings don't work well when running more than one display with different resolutions.

I seem to be able to defer feature updates for up to 365 days, and "quality" (security) updates for up to 30 days, as well as all updates for 35 days it seems (settings, update and security, windows update, advanced options. It may be grayed out do to it being moved, where are you seeing the defer feature update option grayed out? (I'm running the same version as you, windows 10 pro 64 bit)

Quick question FattysGoneWild Did you have to enter a Key when you did a Fresh Install or did it just activate on it's own? Thanks

I don't see the "Defer" option anymore. It's more broken down now. This is what I'm seeing.

If you have the Creators update installed some important changes are: 1. Privacy settings. To find the changes click the question mark next to the Windows logo at the bottom left of your screen and type privacy settings. It should then be at the top of the list so select this. You can then change privacy settings based on any item on the left. 2. Game mode. When starting any game press the windows key and the letter G to open the game bar. Once the game bar is open choose the game bar settings and select game mode.

I wonder if we should use Game Mode for Folding and Crunching?

No key. Activation is locked to the hardware now and will activate on its own.

I've done a lot to try and defer updates until they prove reliable but then this stuff happens thanks MS :/ >settings\Update & Security\Windows update\advanced options
