I saw something on Facebook that said play Mass Effect Andromada in 4k with HDR with Geforce 10 series.

Does this mean that the Drivers now aupport 4k HDR Tv's in Windows.

Please someone shed some light on this for me.

I have had a 4k tv (that supports HDR) with a 1080 card, and the games that support HDR (Resident Evil and other's) look beyond grey and washed out.

Please can a mod or Jacob comment on this? !

Do you have the output color depth set to 10bpc?
The drivers support it, if output is set right and the TV has HDR turned on it should just work.

Hmm, that means the monitor/TV is not telling the GPU it supports that mode in the EDID data. What model TV do you have?

Looks like it will only work on HDMI 2 or 3 and you need to change the 'HDMI signal format' to 'Enhanced format' in the input menu.

I've already done all of that.  I run the PS4 pro with HDR and the Xbox One S also - I always leave the computer on one that allows HDR

Hmm, maybe try DDU and a driver reinstall. There are plenty of reports of people successfully using PC HDR on that TV out there.

Apparently 12- bit is an option as well now: http://www.anandtech.com/...dolby-vision-for-games

I have the latest drivers and in the Nvidia Control Panel it only gives the option for 8 bit colors

The nvidia cards don't support 4:4:4 10 or 12bit. You'll need to set it to 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 and 8-12bit will be available. You'll have to set 4:2:2, apply it, and then you can change your bit rate. Your Tv also has to have a native 10bit panel.. Some TVs claim to have HDR but they dont have a 10 bit panel.. that's "fake HDR" and the GPU won't interact with it. HDR mode kicks in on my OLED when Andromeda starts up so it definitely works. You also have to ensure you're using a HDCP 2.2 port on your TV.. not all HDMI ports on all TV's are HDCP2.2.. same goes for receivers if you're using one.

Experiment with your 4:2:2, 4:2:0 settings.. also I believe you'll need to run your resolution at 4K in order to use HDR from the PC.

Nvidia can output 10 bit color and 4:4:4 chroma even at 60fps
