I am seeing some GoofyxGrid @ Home issues today.
HT Disabled.
Other than having no tasks to run today while having ONE task run or sometime Two Tasks it is taking away a CPU Core to use.
Once the Third GoofyxGrid Task stated running I got the use of my CPU Core back.

HT Enabled.
My Rig where I have HT Enabled it was taking away One of my CPU Threads away until I got a Third Task GoofyxGrid Task Running.

Anyone seeing the same?

Yes for the most part but I still do not like not have all my Cores or Thread for use in other projects *PG/WCG ATM.

Just read this and I was out and about yesterday. Will check my devices running goofy this afternoon. I did notice a drop in points for the day.

I'm back to waiting for task on my Android devices.

They seem to be back but I have pulled most of my Rigs off of this Project.
I have an ARM and two old Windows XP computers running & one UN9 running but removed all my other Windows 7 and above off.

Yeah I have noticed some slowdown on the goofy project- It is new so there are going to be issues but it is an NCI (non CPU intensive) app just like wuprop and I have seen no effect on any project at all on any device. So I am not going to delete it from any device just because it has slowed for a day or two. I feel certain it will start rolling out work units just like folding will just stop posting scores for a day or two and then boom you get a ton of folding points. If it does not then big deal - it never used any resources to start with. I am a bit more pragmatic on decisions to give up a project. Currently I am running 12 crunching projects and folding.

My issue what not with getting Tasks (WU) it was taking the use of a Core or Thread away from running CPU Based Projects.

I think this is common on this Project.
Lot of users running it and they cannot keep up with new Tasks.
I still find it odd that a lot users call BOINC Tasks WU as like over on Folding @ Home

Seems like the Project admin is currently toying around with setting NCI off.  This means each task will now use a full CPU thread/core, making it compete for CPU resources with other BOINC projects.
    http://goofyxgridathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=189

Also, Monkeysv4 tasks are not reaching clients.  Project admin is trying to fix it.
    http://goofyxgridathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=182

As a result of these developments, I've set the project to "No new tasks" for the time being.

That's not what I took from the admins posting at all. From what I gathered he was working on adding that in conjunction with the NCI work units and giving you the options to choose which applications from within the project settings. And the admin did acknowledge issues with the v4 application sometimes wanting a cpu thread of its own and isn't sure why it is happening yet. He just didn't address bcav directly. But the bigger issue he was working on involving v4 was actually getting the work units to the hosts. Right now the vast majority seem to be ghost work units that show up under the hosts task list but don't actually get downloaded. This issue started after one of his HDD's took a crap.

Edit: And to further clarify the admin did say that 3 of the 4 apps would be NCI. Since v4 is the problem child, logic would dictate that is the one that would be considered cpu intensive at this time.

Whatever the case I have seen this project take a Core or a Thread and lock so that CPU Tasks cannot use.
I have not seen a v4 Task in over a week or so and today PI v6.00 and v8.00 Error (42) Lots of problems today.

I've seen lots of problems off and on for like a week. Definitely a headache. However, I only saw v4 taking a single thread/core and that is easily rectified by not selecting the application from the site preferences.

+1  Yesterday I saw tasks other than v4 acting as compute-intensive (for example 2 tasks were taking a total of 2 complete threads).  Today I let the project to get tasks and all appears normal or back to NCI so far.  Will keep an eye on it.

I still think the purpose of the project is a little "out there", but will continue to crunch it as long as it remains NCI.

Sounds like it would be better for people to run it in a VM and use multiple clients within in it so that you can control how many threads/cores are "stolen". Then you can also run several at a time. If the VM gets hammered from too many CPU intensive apps... it won't bring the whole system down and the rest of the rig moves on as normal.  Just another example of how it is better to CPU DC from a VM...

Noticed my 4 core not picking up any new tasks for other projects...Goofyxgrid was no longer running as nci
They are in the process of creating two separate sites, one for cpu, one for nci tasks.
I guess they thought defaulting to cpu tasks using the old url without even a BOINC manager notice would be OK.

Taking a break from this one for a bit.

EDIT: even worse, the tasks are actually nci but are still hogging a thread as if they were cpu tasks.

The one for "one for cpu" is has not given out tasks in over a week now.
Until I get my Pi back up I will not be running any NCI Tasks.

I've set this up and am getting units that get to 100% in a minute or two then just sit there for an hour.
They end up being worth 10 points.
BTW they are showing up as Non CPU intensive tasks and when I check the task after it has been accepted, it says 1 hour run time but only .03 seconds CPU time ????
What could I be doing wrong?
    Thanks.

When you FIRST run this on a Computer it will show 100% for a VERY long time. Let it Complete, the next Task will not do this.

I've let it run for most of a day and it has done this on 9 of them (per thread, 36 times total) in a row. I wonder if I should just get rid of the whole thing and reload the project through BOINC?

I would wait, also some projects are have problems sometimes.
Wait till Friday Night and see how they are doing.
Remember that All Projects have their own Forum to ask questions. Some sadly never really reply but some do.
