When playing games my 1060 SC will sometimes freeze and and loop the last sound it played as buzzing. I have tried uninstalling drivers with DDU and reinstalling. The card is at about 63 degrees when this happens, so I don't know if it is an overheating problem. I also suspected my motherboard's audio, so I installed the latest drivers for that as well. Any help would be appreciated.

System specs:

AMD FX-6300
MSI 970a-g46 motherboard
8 GB DDR3 1600
EVGA GTX 1060 SC 6GB
Corsair CX500M power supply

How old is your psu? 63c is a perfectly fine temp. Here is what I would do...

#1 Make sure your motherboard bios is completely up to date.
    #2 Do steps #1 #2 & #4 listed here.
#3 Retest system after completing all steps.

I get exactly the same problem with my evga gtx 1060.  The system hangs on the last picture frame and I get the last sound played buzzing.  The computer often restarts but not always.  I get no blue screen records.  Totally different specs apart from gfx card to the op.

I have tried Firmark to max out the gpu and ram - nothing happens until I end the burn test.  Very unusual.  It also happens frequently after exiting games but also during games.  Never happens unless a game has been loaded after starting the PC.

    Did Civicef get this resolved?

    I have a gigabyte x99 gaming 5, latest bios..
    Seasonic 750w psu,
    i7 5820k cpu,
    2x8gb ram ddr4.

I did resolve the issue. It turns out that the 24-pin connector for my Corsair power supply doesn't make a good connection to my motherboard,
So I had to use a 24-pin extension cable. Since doing this about 3 weeks ago I haven't had any crashes.

I've had issues with several Corsair 24 pin connectors at the MB, they don't like to seat all the way. Even their individually sleeved cable kit.
