Is EVGA RMA Department supposed to sign the package that I send to them for the "step up" aka upgrade to iCX? Cause it's over 300$ so FedEx said they must sign for the package.

They will sign if it's required.

Same as many others.  Delivered on the morning of 3/23, according to UPS.  Didn't show as received until 3/24.  Now late on 3/27, shipping stills shows as 'pending'.

A bit disappointed.  At this rate, I doubt I'll get the new card back this week.

Then I have to go through it all again with my second 1080 Classified.

Yep... welcome to the club.

If it doesn't ship tomorrow there's a very good chance I won't get it before next Monday with a Weds shipment and 3 day ground... and I'm in Washington state.

If you had told me last Monday when I sent to the card to EVGA "your card is only going to CA and you won't get your Ti for 14 days despite the 1-3 business day turnaround time" I'd have been like "yeah right."

Now it looks like it could very well happen...  LOL  Of course had I dropped $100 on two way overnight shipping I'm sure I'd have my card already.  Oh wait, I probably wouldn't... because it would still show as pending shipment.  At least I saved that money.

@ all the guys who told me "EVGA has shipped within 1 business day for all the people who have posted here!!!"  Ummmm... no.  For whatever reason the last week hasn't been anything like the first couple weeks.

Anyway.... tomorrow is only the 2nd business day after the receipt on Friday... 24 hours after the receipt on Thursday.  Maybe it will ship so I can have the card for the weekend!

*sigh*

I went to bed just before midnight, central time 3/27, and it still said 'shipment pending'.  Now this morning, at ~8 AM central time, is says 'shipped' on 3/27, and gives a tracking number.  UPS shows an origin scan at Anaheim at 7:36 PM 3/27 and a departure scan at 2:49 AM on 3/28.  Not sure if those are Pacific time or if it converts to central time on the UPS site.

At least it says it's on it's way.  With shipping both ways, it's costing me about $55 per card.  The price i paid at Micro Center in Westmont, IL, was $699.99 per card, so the step-up cost me only the shipping charges.

Bought my first EVGA cards, GTX 280's, in 2008.  Since then I've has two of each generation.  Two 280's, 295's (quad SLI!), 480's, 580's, 680's, 780's, 980's and now 1080's.  In all that time, this step-up to the 1080ti is the first time I've ever been able to take advantage of the EVGA feature.

My first discrete video card was a Radeon 9700 Pro back in 2002.  Wow!  All of 325 mhz and 110 million transistors.  How much better could it get?  And then I bought two 8800 GTX's.

Any movement on European step ups for anyone yet?

rasmuskrj
So no one from EU can report any progress?

No ANYBODY. EUROPE only sell in shop (This past Sunday evga have stock, and other before days too, AND TODAY see image), but don't send for step at the moment.

We are sttoped in QUEUE. We are waiting This sucks.

We are waiting until EVGA decides to send us the graphics with the same right as in other countries. We are clients, with the same right to enjoy the offer and demand that they offer themselves. It is clear that there is discrimination and disadvantage along the way.
All Europe without supplies. It is shameful. It is my opinion, as respectable as any other.

If you want read all EU comment you can read here: https://forums.evga.com/S...FE-in-EU-m2635423.aspx

It seems that's all it was. My package arrived Friday and it was working then. It seems they had issues on Thursday for you.

Hope you get yours by the weekend.

My next question is do I preorder the FTW3 today and sell my FE card when it comes? Or are the gains minimal?

For the EU-people:

I called the evga-support in europe (munich) and asked them why nothin is happenin there:

He told me that they have soooooo many step up request for the 1080ti, they cant handle it all right now. the 1080ti is the most requested step up card there he said. i am wondering that the 1080ti is even more requested then the icx update.
Anyway, seems like the EU people need a lot of patience.

I should have it by Thursday as long as the UPS truck doesn't break down on I-5... it's a 3 day ground shipping standard from CA to WA.

I'm fine with the FE... slapping the hybrid water cooler on it anyway.

Thank for this report....

Just now EVGA answer me to TICKET:

Hello,

thank you for your message.
We do have a very high amount of requests for the Step-Up of 1080TI cards and we have to serve the Step-Ups in the same order the requests have been placed.
Please understand that we have to split shipment of cards between the Step-Up, Shop and merchants, and we cannot serve Step-Ups from the shop stock but we will of course do our best to serve the step-ups as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your understanding.

Kind Regards,

Looks as if your card made it on the truck after mine... see my previous post for the info.  The times are local PST.

My first computer was a Commodore Amiga 500... 7mhz with 3MB ram.  No HDD.  That computer was a beast back in 1987.  My first custom build PC and GPU was an AMD 1800+ @ 1.53 ghz with a GeForce3 Ti 200 in 2001... I think the GPU had 64MB video ram.

How much better does it get?  11GB 1080 Ti... LOL can't wait.

3 MB of RAM? Didn't even know that was possible when my Dad had an Amiga, I thought the 1 MB update was the only option - great computer back then though.

Anyways, my TI was shipped last night as well, since I live close I hope it'll go out for delivery today after it got the Destination Scan around 5:40 this morning.

I should have it by Thursday as long as the UPS truck doesn't break down on I-5... it's a 3 day ground shipping standard from CA to WA.
I'm fine with the FE... slapping the hybrid water cooler on it anyway.

Mine still hasn't updated since Anaheim lol but it did say its next status update would be by 5pm today. We'll see

Keep us posted.  Mine says "scheduled delivery info not available" so I have no confirmed date but as said it's a 3 day standard from CA to WA so I'm expecting it Thursday.  Will post back when I get an update.  Left Anaheim at 9:12pm last night.

Nice... I don't expect mine in Portland before tomorrow.  Just glad it shipped... and for those keeping score at home who told me all that about the 1 business day shipping... technically it did ship the next business day... after the 24 hour delay it had being updated in the system.

What did you send it to EVGA using, and how long did it take? Figured I could use 2nd day shipping get it there a bit faster (I live in Portland, OR too), but the damn plane flew all the way to Kentucky instead of just straight down, so now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have just used ground shipping because it likely would have been faster not to mention cheaper. Oh well.

Hopefully the missing fan doesn't cause a huge delay and they send it back this week.

Somehow I think that missing fan is going to lead to a rejection... if what they say about all stock parts need to be installed holds true.  Maybe you'll get lucky though?  Keep us posted.

I sent mine Ground both ways... shipped Mon 3/20... arrived Thur 3/23... their systems were down apparently and showed it received on Friday 3/24. Return shipment last night shipped 3/27... I expect it Thurs 3/30.  3 days is the norm for ground from CA to WA and vice versa. I didn't see the need to pay for overnight or 2nd day... saved myself probably $40-$50 each way.  Ground from EVGA to me was $11... from me to EVGA was $21 and I paid an extra $14 for insurance.

While it's a possibility, it's much more likely that they will just charge me. They specifically note in the details that a delay may be caused and a fee assessed to restore it to factory default conditions (because of, for example, modification). Since they accept modified parts so long as they can be reverted to factory I'm not too worried. All they'd really have to do is slap on a fan for the radiator, I even kept the screws in for 'em.

Which is fine since I can't imagine a non premium fan costing more than $10.

Well, if your three day shipping still took three days despite being so close I guess UPS/Fedex are smarter than they look. No shortcuts unless it's local, meh, which makes them $$$. Still, it only cost me $25 bucks for 2nd day shipping so it wasn't too bad. I only have one card so my comp is a sickly beast without its source of power and I'd rather not wait.

You don't have to tell me about that.  I built my PC 6 weeks ago and it's an absolute monster... but without the main GPU it's pretty standard LOL... running off integrated Intel 630 via the CPU just isn't the same.  It does give 4k desktop resolution and I can play non-demanding games just fine... but anything like GTA 5 is just unplayable.

In addition to GTA 5 I've got 3 games that I just bought and installed... Witcher 3, BF1 and RE7.  I've installed them but haven't loaded any of them yet... waiting on the Ti.  On top of that I have my VR... which was insane on the 1080.  It's only going to be better on the Ti.

Hopefully your mod will be a cheap fix like you said.

I am fine with the 3 day ground transit time.  OTR trucking isn't going to be much better.  BTW, if I were in Portland I definitely wouldn't bother with overnight or 2nd day... at worst it's 3 days ground transit time and it might even be 2 days.

Honestly a questionable departure time from anaheim lol. Wonder where the truck parked for the weekend hah. Usually, you would see it check into another hub this many days later specially from that distance.

In other news, I preorded the ftw3 :D

I thought about it... do they charge you immediately?  I don't want to tie up $700 for the next 5 weeks.

Me and TRClark911 both from Washington.
I think I sent mine a day early? Than he did but the cards might have met up together outside LA area and delivered together the next morning. Just ground shipping which only takes 3 days from here anyways.

edit: Nvm we shipped same day

Nope, cc doesn't get charged till the card is ready to ship! :)
If anything it will only authorize $1 to test the payment method to verify. Otherwise right now, I don't even see that $1 right now so I might already dropped off from me even noticing.
