You need to own a evga card that has a evga vbios loaded to it to be able to use the k-boost feature inside precision xoc. Running the vbios from a evga 1080 ti on your galax 1080 ti should allow the k-boost feature to work under precision xoc, however, loading a vbios from a evga 1080 ti to a galax 1080 ti may cause the galax 1080 ti to stop working due to slight differences in the vbios from the evga 1080 ti.

I would just enable the k-boost feature inside msi afterburner for now so you don't have to worry about bricking your card. Instructions on how to enable k-boost inside msi afterburner can be found here.
