I heard sometimes on discord but only 'no news yet'
I planning to sell my strix dlx and buy one for dolby atmos (hw-k950)
current gen of sound card support max 7.1 and not support atmos yet

I wonder that evga sound card planed to support atmos for living room gaming

    The last i heard from evga is "we should have more information Q3 of 2016".  Were still waiting on that information.

    they might use all company on customer support
    that cause slow release on new products

    The phone techs have nothing to do with product development.
     
    The PCI-E sound card will probably use c-media sound chip like other mfg use. The external DAC/AMP designed by AudioNote will be interesting (if it's even still in the works).

    Haven't really heard much about it in over a year so I assume it's been cancelled or at least put on hold for the time being.
