I just put together a new system with an i7 6900k, an EVGA X99 Classified 151-HE-E999-KR with some G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3466 (PC4 27700) Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3466C16Q-32GTZSW. I'm loving this new setup but I'm having trouble getting my ram to play nice at any frequency above 3000 mhz. I manually set the frequency and voltage for the ram and left the timings on auto. If I use the XMP profile the board will not boot, and if I set the ram manually at anything above 3000 mhz it will not post as well throwing codes 60 and 19. I could really use those extra hertzes so if anyone can help I could give you a internet hug or something. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forums... When you're setting up your memory, make sure that after you select the XMP profile that you look at your Bclock. It's possible it's being set to 125 instead of the stock 100. If so, you're trying to boot with to high of ram speed. You'll need to adjust the ram speed accordingly. If you see you're using a 125 bclock, manually set your ram speed to 2666 and reboot back into the BIOS to see your actual ram speed. Tweak from there. Note that any memory setting above 2666 with the exception of 3200 will automatically change your bclock from 100 to 125 which will increase your ram speed.

+1 this If the issue is from a Cold boot -- maybe a painful work around to test you system - one member mentioned doing what is below Set RAM to lower speed, save, shut down, reboot After PC reboots open BIOS and enter higher RAM speed, save, restart

Return the RAM for 3200 or set it at 2666 or 3200. These boards hate 125 BCLK.

So, I started from the beginning: Reseated the heatsink, tested ram sticks and slots and everything seems good there. Next I went to the bios and checked to make sure the BCLK was not set at 125 when in XMP mode and manually entered the proper timings @16.18.18.38 for 3466 mhz and got the sticks to boot and run @3200 mhz. Anything more and she wouldn't boot. I'm happy with that outcome, but if could tighten the timings a bit more at 3200 I would be all smiles. Any suggestions on what timings might work? Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! :) :)

Glad to hear you're now up and running at 3200... The only thing I could suggest for timings is you find the same model ram kit but 3200 frequency instead of the 3466 yours are. Check and see what the timings and voltage are for a kit rated at 3200 and manually set them in your BIOS. It may work, but you may find the difference is not worth the trouble... Beyond that, there's the trial & error method. Reduce the timings a bit and test for stability, rinse & repeat.

+1 very good advice Biggest difference in RAM timing try CR1 instead of CR2 [CR1 or CR2 (sometimes T1 or T2)] DDR4 Memory Overclocking Report and Beginner's Guide

Wow, that totally worked. Timings at 16.16.16.36 and running awesome. I'll play around some more with them, but next stop is cpu clockin! Cheers!
