I had the 2.0 beta v of bios. Did the 2.01 update. Also removed sound card and hooked new mouse up after it shut down. I have windows installed on an m.2 drive. I enabled it back in the bios restarted it. Now its not letting me in to win 10. Ive tried resetting bios. Uefi . legacy settings . csm settings. With no luck. After it did the bios update it shut down then tried to restart but fans kicked on for a split second then off. But my corsair ram lights stayed on so i let it sit for 5 luck to see if it would restart and never did. So i did a hard shut down. The furthest i can get is windows recovery screen if i have all my hard drives hooked up. If i just have m.2 drive in, says windows file is missing 0xc000000f . So im guess i have to reinstall windows now

Is the BIOS set to AHCI for your drives (Not IDE or RAID)

    Fast boot Off ?

    Safe Boot Off ?

    Which Z170 MB ?

Dual BIOS ? if so flip the switch and try to boot

    Oh OK
Maybe better to flash back to your last BIOS - then
