Hi

Sorry if exist same o similar post but I don't found.

I would know how persons have the same situation than me and 2 friends. We started STEP UP and received email on March 10th, 2017 at 21:18 CET.

At the moment we are Pending in QUEUE and other 2 members here in EVGA forums, one start Step at 19:58 CET and he is stoped in payment prrocess with pending and waiting and other French at 21:25 with QUEUE pending.

We was opened ticket to support but EVGA anly asnwer that we are in queue but don't give any more information. This situation is frustrating when you watch US member 2 days ago start to received card or SLI cards and EU don't know.

If you are in the same situation and you want post your situation to know process...

EDIT: Scarlet-Tech asnwer me in this post

I hate to be blunt, but you all have to be patient. Everyone in EU. YES this is normal. Yes, it has always been like this. EVGA'S packaging plant is in California, so on release day the cards hard to be shipped from California to Europe. That takes time. The cards are sent on freight ships, so it isnt a fast process. It usually takes 2 to 3 weeks after US receives them before EU has them in stock.

Is it frustrating.. sure. EVGA isnt a big company like ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, or the other companies that have plaves all over that can do everything. EVGA hasnt forgot about you. Every single time there is a release, folks have to explain this to EU customers. Give them a little more time and cards will start shipping.

Regards!!!!

Good afternoon friends
It seems to me unacceptable that 15 days after making the step up in EU we do not have news of any card delivered but if it was bought if it has been received,
Still more unacceptable than any official representative of EVGA has not given an official statement (I do not mean the moderators of the forum who are simple puppets)
I apologize for my awful English,
a greeting.

It is a privilege to have the option to step-up, not a right.
Please think about it and be patient.

I know that it is a service that gives EVGA and not other brands, it is also a point for me to choose this brand and not another other than its extended warranty, therefore it is a marketing that makes you buy this product and not another for They have to give good service and not have uninformed customers, having to come to the forums to know what happens with other users.

+1^^^^^^^^^^
Also the simple FACT that this version just came out so as they say "supplies are limited"
Another FACT is that they are hard to come by in the retail market, so exactly why would you believe you or anyone else would get a quick turn around in a "step up" situation.

Wow lol.... Actually it is a right when you buy an EVGA GPU, that's part of the perks they offer vs other competitors. In my case the step up option was the deciding factor in buying my card from Evga this time. Sure no where near does it say when you'll receive your step-up card after getting in the queue but a little more communication wouldn't hurt on Evga's side, but I guess they aren't going to change all off a sudden.

System: 7820X - MSI X299 Carbon AC - G.Skill 32Gb TridentZ 3200 - EVGA 1080 Ti - 500 Gb Samsung 970 EVO , 2Tb Crucial MX500, 2Tb, 3Tb, 4Tb Seagate - Seasonic 1000W Prime - Creative Sound Blaster Z - Windows 10 Pro 64 - Phanteks Enthoo Primo - Edifier S530D - Acer Predator XB271HU (1440p)

Any movement on European step ups for anyone yet?

rasmuskrj
So no one from EU can report any progress?

No ANYBODY. EUROPE only sell in shop (This past Sunday evga shop have stock, and other before days too, AND TODAY see image), but don't send for step at the moment....

We are sttoped in QUEUE. We are waiting or PENDING. This sucks.

Scotchy49
It is a privilege to have the option to step-up, not a right.

We are waiting until EVGA decides to send us the graphics with the same right as in other countries. We are clients, with the same right to enjoy the offer and demand that they offer themselves. It is clear that there is discrimination and disadvantage along the way.

All Europe without supplies. It is shameful. It is my opinion, as respectable as any other.

When EU will be pass pending queue, when EVGA supply to all EEUU? Sorry but this not normal....

I'm shopping EVGA from a few years ago from my first 670 FTW.... For me is the best aseembler but this situation, sorry it isn't normal.

Regards

Just now EVGA answer me to TICKET:

Hello,

thank you for your message.
We do have a very high amount of requests for the Step-Up of 1080TI cards and we have to serve the Step-Ups in the same order the requests have been placed.
Please understand that we have to split shipment of cards between the Step-Up, Shop and merchants, and we cannot serve Step-Ups from the shop stock but we will of course do our best to serve the step-ups as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your understanding.

Kind Regards,

I only recently requested step-up so I havn't been waiting half as long as some of you guys. Also I'd like to add that I think the step-up programme is an awesome initiative by EVGA and they're awesome for doing it.
Anyway, I think a thread like this is good so we can keep track off when we need to have money on our accounts :)

Also are any of you from Denmark? Do you know any good ways to ship the card when the day comes? I guess their HQ is in Germany, or is it the Netherlands? I don't trust Post-Nord with my graphics card and I don't have any experience with GLS.

I saw people on evga facebook page that submitted step up on 10th of march and still wait for step 2 payment. So i think u need a lot of patience.
For example: the people with the 1080 step up last year in germany waited like 6 months due to the less amount of cards and the high request

6 months? If this is true, it is a veritable SHAME and an insult to customer trust on the part of EVGA.

I disagree.

You still get to enjoy your current card! The one which you actually bought... It is not like you already paid for the step-up card or anything...

If you want a 1080Ti so bad you should maybe consider selling your current card and buying a new one and tanking the loss....

Haha I feel so anger from you Japemo =)
Thanks for the google doc mate.

Two things :
- if we get them in 6 month, the price on the market may be lower, with vega card releasing for example. So if it happens, Do we have to pay the today price or the price adjusted ?

- The more we wait, the more we get closer to release of the "not founder edition of 1080 ti by evga, so maybe it's a good thing cause as soon we get it we can step up to ftw for example.
Or it's not working like that ?

Hi Scotchy49

You do not see the reality of the problem and your comments do not give rise to anything.

I will try to explain that this situation EVGA leaves in inferiority of conditions and rights to EU customers against US customers.

EVGA has a WORLD program, offers a service that is supposed to be the same for all, with features and requirements, called STEP UP.

Everyone has the same right and equality when it comes to using what EVGA offers, what it sells, what it brings, does not it? If you do not see this, you're blind.

While in Europe are selling the 1080Ti, therefore there is storage (although they are different distributions) in US there are already many customers, many with the 1080 Ti in their homes and I do not speak only of one, I speak even a lot with SLIs, when I talk about US I do not talk about sales, I talk about finished STEP UP program.

Just see and without count the number of users with time zones PST and EST that already have their cards in this thread. So without counting them, I would swear that there are more than 25 people that minimum .... In Europe 0, in fact in Europe we have not passed the line. 20 days in the same situation.

If you keep seeing that it's the same deal I'll tell you again that you're blind.

Now go back and tell me that this is quiet, that I continue to enjoy my card, that I pass the time and devalue, that Volta approaches, that I suffer an accident, etc ... all these excuses will not make me see the real problem that Has EVGA in customer service.

I understand that EVGA is "litle" than Asus, Giga or other manufacturers. To some extent it is understandable a delay... But with this diferences between US and EU?

With respect, as a customer and in my opinion I am in my right to complain to a STEP UP service that does not work properly. Mind you, it does not work by equalizing the rights of all customers by global areas or zones.

(mode ironic on) Good luck to all, Volta is comming, cancel STEP UP and follow with your actual GPU!!! (mode ironic off)

Regards!!!

Re: STEP UP to 1080Ti FE in EU 2017/03/30 02:53:53 (permalink)
I must admit that it does make me feels as a second rate costumer, seeing how this developing...

Then again, no other company is offering a program like the step-up program so we should be grateful for that, but its never nice to feel like other people are getting preferential treatment. It is not just EVGA though, many american companies treat their american costumers a lot better than those in the rest of the world. Blizzard is a good example. Some people might say it is only natural, but to me it indicates a lack of integrity.

Oh well, I guess I'll enjoy my 1070 FTW for a couple of months more! It's still a good card.

Of course it is an option they offer and of course we should be grateful. And I am.

But one thing does not take away the other.

I could have sold my chart before and I did not do it for this great opportunity offered by EVGA. This is my first experience with STEP.

Well, let's leave the debate of what is right and what is wrong and continue with the end of the thread, be informed and be updated about process.

Cheers

6 months was an extreme situation that was never happening before. it was with the introduction of the 1080 that had a great performance gain like never before. also the overall availabilty was very bad at that time because nvidia produced to less cards and the request was very high.

i hoped they learned out of it for the 1080ti. but it seems they did not. the availabilty of the 1080ti is really bad here in germany.

if u are able to understand german: here is a forum thread from hardwareluxx where people complaint about the long step up time for the 1080:
