Does evga charge instantly or when the item ships?

I generally have bought most of gpus from egg or amazon so just curious, thanks..

    IIRC, when you pre-order you are put in a queue. When the card becomes available, you get an e-mail telling you to pay and after you do that they send you the card.

    all purchases made through the EVGA.com webstore will be charged immediately upon checkout.
     
    Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
     
    EDIT: I apologize, I did not notice the question was in regards to pre-orders only.
     
    Pre-Orders will be charged prior to shipping and not immediately after the pre-order is placed. The charge will be automatically billed upon processing of shipment.
